Editorial Reviews
Review
It's romantic - with a special sort of whimsical feel to it. So... dreamlike. Their path to happily ever after was intimate, erotic and full of a romantic passion. The author created two characters that stick with you long after you've finished reading the last page. Her story building was done to perfection, and I'm thrilled to have gotten the chance to experience this wonderful book.
From 'Readers' Favorite' a 5 star review:
This sweet romantic story is an enjoyable read with some wonderful emotions and sensuality that add spice to the plot. Both Alice and Oliver are lovable characters. The simplicity in the theme and in the portrayal of the main characters lend a charm to the story. Added to it, the good pace in narration makes it an interesting love story. There is a gentleness and softness while handling the love between Alice and Oliver, which makes it endearing. The passion between the two has been expressed effectively. It is a love story that will evoke a lot of warm feelings inside you.
The characters and the course of their romance are realistic and is something that the readers can relate to. The author's simple and elegant writing style is the strong point of this love story.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2014After reading this gorgeous love story Elodie Parkes has become a must read author for me. The time period is contemporary and the story takes place in a city that the author describes so well that I felt as if I was there, I certainly wanted to be. And I love the characters. Oliver works in the city park. He’s tall, muscled, very good looking— the true romantic hero. When he sees the heroine, Alice, feeding a lonely swan in the park he decides to do a random act of kindness and send this equally lonely young woman flowers. And so it begins…
Who doesn’t want a man like that? If you like your love stories, very hot, passionate, and tender this is for you. Highly recommended!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2016This book did not have much of a plot. The characters were not that well crafted. The settings were not described very well. There was lots of sex in the story, but this also was not very well written.
I previously read another story by Elodie Parkes. It was outstanding! This was the reason why I bought this book. Writing is an art, so they can't all be gems...
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2014Elodie Parks has a fan for life! Absolutely loved this short story!
This was such a sweet read. I found myself wanting something beautiful to happen for Alice right from the beginning. The story pulled me right into her character. At first with Oliver bidding in the bushes watching her was a little creepy. Then it became so much more. As a reader I was able to follow the story. And a beautiful story it was.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2014I can't get enough of Elodie Parks. She knocks it out of the park with every chapter she writes. Even though many of her tales are in the modern era, she has a magical way of making the reader feel transcended back to a sweeter time. I love Elodie's imagery and emotion... Not to mention the HEAT. The Flower Box is a MUST READ!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2014Alice is lonely and wants what every woman wants - to be loved. She sends flowers to other women but never receives any for herself. Oliver wants to give Alice everything she wants. Ms Parkes has done it again - another great read - would recommend to all.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2014Amazon CustomerThis is a great, fun, entertaining, sexy romance, with a slight paranormal twist. I love how lyrical the writing is - it's dense in atmosphere and carries you away. Highly recommended.
