Life is nothing more than a series of 1s and 0s.
Basic choices.

    I loved this story! I now have an unexpected appreciation for Hackers. Well, at least for one Hacker, Holden, who works for the FBI. A Hacker doing good to help catch the bad guys. He's a single dad, totally devoted to his two children, at least when the job allows him to be. That's where Meena comes in. She's a career Nanny, and they have a history, but not like you'd probably think. She's totally devoted to Holden and his children. Meena has a large, loving family; Holden does not. Meena loves her job; Holden does not. We learn about their pasts and their history together, and about the secret Holden cannot tell Meena and hopes she never has to find out. I love both of these characters, but that's what Xavier Neal does -- she writes characters you can get behind and root for and fall in love with. I do have to mention one thing, which is definitely not meant to offend or criticize, and hopefully, it's just me: I felt a little left out of the dialogue in the places where Meena, and others, were speaking in Spanish because I had no idea what was being said. With that aside, I highly recommend this book, but for mature readers only, and suggest you read the series from the beginning.

    This is book two in this series. It could be read a standalone but would make more sense if read in reading order.

    The Hacker is the story of Holden, who is a single dad, and Meena who comes into his life like a bulldozer. She upsets his delicate family balance and turns everything he thinks he knows, upside down.

    Holden has had a tragic life and is very closed off. He lives his life closed off in his office behind his computer. He doesn’t enjoy life or his kids. Once Meena barrels in his life, she changes everything. She challenges him within his personal life and his parenting. Together they build a solid relationship with each other and with his kids. This is a story of finding love again after heartache.

    The story of Holden and Meena, is sweet and heartfelt. Ms. Neal wrote an exceptional single dad romance. The writing flowed easily and a great pace. The character development was well thought-out and well written. The scenes with the other bros was sweet and charming. This story was filled with steam and sultriness. Holden and Meena have definitely burrowed into my heart.

    Holden and Meena!! Who knew a single father could be so hot and so dirty?!? I guess, the answer is Xavier Neal because she wrote their story.

    Holden has lost his wife and raising, or trying to raise, his children alone. But as nanny after nanny quits, he's struggling. Then here comes Meena. *sigh* There's a back story, which I won't go into because, of course, it'll give away too much of the story. But as always, the path these two walk is not smooth, not without potholes.

    Xavier Neal, you continue to amaze me with every book you write. Just when I think you can't top the ones already published, you prove me wrong. As you know, I have my very favorite, but The Hacker is definitely in my top 10 of your books. Congratulations on the new release, Xavier!

    I have read Xavier Neal's work off and on for a long time. I've always enjoyed the storylines, however there are several things holding
    me back with this one. I just wasn't in love with the story. I didn't get the warm fuzzies with this book like prior books. I didn't care at all
    for the English/Spanish mix. I don't speak the language so I felt like I was missing parts of conversation. I found it very unusual to see so
    many mistakes in Xavier's books. Ex: the correct spelling is credibility, not creditability...hire, not higher...make do, not make due. All of these
    things were very distracting for me as an avid reader.

    Holden is a single father raising two kids on his after his wife died in a car accident. when he hires meena who used to work for him a long time ago. she is a wonderful person who tries to get him to be more human than in tech world. she is there to help and they fall fast and hard for each other. when things get really heated and they have a big fight in front of the kids will they be able to fix it or will it leave them both to broken to fix it. It's a fast pace edge of your seat story with love hotness and some stuff that will sorta blow your mind. It's an amazing book. when you have a choice to hit 1 or 0 what would you do? I got an advanced copy for and honest review

    Meena is the one time nanny from years ago which now comes back into his life again as the nanny, but this time Holden is a widower.

    The fireworks between them sizzles, and the sex was super hot. Loved this book!
