About the Author

Elizabeth Hart has been a multifaceted performer her entire life. She began performing on television and stage when she was a child and has carried her passion for entertaining into adulthood.



A. S. Teague is the author of several books, including The Hardest Route, When You Became Mine, and the Undisputed series. She lives in South Carolina with her husband and two daughters.

Alex Kydd is a Tri-State Area-based actor specializing in contemporary and classical theater. His passion for performing began in his early teens and has progressed into a lifetime motivation. Classically trained, Alex attended The William Esper Studio in New York City, one of The 25 Best Drama Schools in 2015, as recognized by the Hollywood Reporter.

    One night changed everything. He was just drafted to the NFL, about to start his professional football career. She was already established and doing well. They met at a casino in Vegas. Not everything that happens in Vegas stays there, since now they are expecting a baby!

    This story definitely touched my heart. Watching Griff and Brooke become parents, then best friends and ultimately each other’s everything was beautiful. Their slow fall was exactly as it should be. Their love and respect for one another were obvious. Their relationship may have been “just friends” for years, but it was also so much more. Griff had all the right words and could easily make you fall in love with him.

    I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. Griffin and Brooke meet in Vegas and have an immediate connection and after spending some time together end up having a one night stand. It has lasting effects. Griffin had been in Vegas with his friends to celebrate them being drafted into the NFL. Brooke is finally able to track him down and send him a message to let him know that their one night had consequences and she is pregnant. I loved how Griffin stepped up immediately even while he was still trying to process the news and he flew to Brooke for them to make a plan. They decide to keep romance off the table and be co-parents. The story does jump a little in our timeline and after the initial pieces where they are working it out and after Brooke has their daughter, we jump 6 years and start following them again as they continue to co-parent and work through what comes up from the distance as Brooke stayed in Atlanta and Griffin is in Chicago. They have become best friends and until Griffin's friends up their teasing and calling Brooke his wife and her dropping things to show up for his mom does he realize that he does have more than just friendship feelings for Brooke and that he wants to explore that. I enjoyed how Griffin went after what he wanted once he figured it out. Brooke and Griffin had to find a balance between them and what worked as they added the romantic aspect to their relationship and then they get thrown a big obstacle they have to figure out. I enjoyed their best friends as well and am excited to get their stories as well.

    This was a great story!!!! I enjoyed the time lapse and seeing things later on. Brooke and Griff were a great match. As much as they drove each other crazy, they were exactly what rhe other needed and didn't know.

    Ms Teague sounds like someone I would love to hang out with because we are both southern girls, she being from South Carolina and me being from North Carolina, and it seems we both have a penchant for good romance. I loved this book, but it was also very frustrating because of all of the lost time. However, the novel is perfect just the way it is. I love Griff! He's the perfect book boyfriend.     Wow this book had my feelings all over the place!

    Brooke and Griffin had an instant connection the night they meet in Vegas, they are both celebrating at the time. Griffin was just drafted and Brooke's bestie, Mel, turned 30 so all parties were down for some fun, however, Griffin and Brooke came back with a permanent souvenir.

    I felt like this book fast, but at the same time it had a good pace; there time jumps, but nothing that would leave confused or feel like you missed any good situations. Griffin and Brooke became best friends as the co-parented their daughter, Allie, however, over time things between them changed with out them noticing. I absolutlely loved that when Griffin realized he was in love with Brooke he did everything to convince her to give them a chance.

    Unfortunately, they had bigger obstacle to face than Brooke's stubbornness and that part of the book really hurt my heart especially the reactions and aftermath of explaining things to Allie. Brooke was so strong and had a great support team from Griffin to Mel to Griffin's best friends, they were all there for her like a family. They did take the hardest route and it was the best decision they made.

    I can't wait to see what lies ahead for Mel and Aiden because two have some serious chemistry, but they fight like they hate each other... well Mel does ;)

    This book deals with cancer and Alzheimer.

    So well written and everything was believable. The characters were realistic. There wasnt any instalove. It was a night on the town that lead to pregnancy. And it made it real that both parents still had lives to lead even if they were separate. I loved how they developed into an actual relationship. Very slow building but was the right way to do it. Book made me cry though. Couldn't put it down until I had finished it.

    Brooke behaves out of character and has one night with Griffin...but goes home with a permanent reminder of it when she discovers she's pregnant.
    Brooke tracks down Griffin to tell him of the pregnancy. So this is where the story took a completely different turn than I thought it would...and it ended up being one of the best "Vegas" stories that I've read!
    With great characters and a really enjoyable storyline this is a MUST READ from me!

    I loved the premise of the book and accidental pregnancies are one of my favourite tropes. The relationship between Griff and Brooke was sweet and the way Griff treated their daughter was adorable. The way Griffin was able to come up with long winded romantic speeches was definitely swoon worthy. However I felt there wasn't anything special about this book. It was a good read but I often found myself skipping several lines ahead when I felt like the story dragged on. I also felt like there wasn't enough relationship development between the two main characters. It feels like there was years of friendship where by their own accounts they argued a lot over the care of their daughter and then a sudden realization they were in love with each other after only one date. Also, I am not a fan of the characters in my books having to deal with serious life or death issues. I read as an escape from life and being dragged down by the heaviness of situations in books can be unbearable. I feel like this book could have had a lot of potential as a romantic comedy without the need for any serious medical life threatening issues as simply two friends who are raising a child together realizing they love each other and developing that relationship.
