I was engaged from the first page of Book 1, to the last page of this installment. All I can say to Ms. Ward is WHEN IS THE NEXT ONE RELEASING! With panted breath, I implore you to not make it very long of a wait!!

    I didn’t want to read this book. I started it, knowing it would transport me to Southern California, and probably make me cry.

    A few chapters in, I became wary. I knew for sure it was going to make me cry.

    I found other things to do: peruse Facebook for the gazillionth time, bought some quick-dry towels on clearance, played my inane online scrabble game for just a little (or a lot) too long.

    I’d look at my iPad and think about the book. What Khloe’s story would be, the certainty playing in my mind like a slow-moving train, only because I know the outcome so very well on a personal level.

    Finally, I opened the kindle app again. I read a few more chapters. Yep, crying. Agony. Heart break. Too close to home.

    Could I leave it alone? Of course not; this is Susan Ward. Almost the entire group makes an appearance in this book. I loved it. I always love Alan, and maybe even Leland, just a little bit.

    One very minor questionable timing related things: Chrissie’s coming of age story begins in 1989, as a high school senior; she is 67 in this story. Maybe this story takes place in the future. I think I am only bothered by it because I am normally the same age as Chrissie!

    Read Susan’s books. Start from the beginning, with Girl in the Half Shell.

    I don’t care how young or old you are, or what your background is, you will find a story and character that resonates with your soul. Her Locked and Loaded series is amazing, too.

    Gahhh I seriously need more!! I loved seeing Damon shine here. It was heartbreaking to see all the speed bumps Khloe and Damon faced.

    I loved Khloe since she was a baby and the sentiment hasn't changed. She's every bit the strong and independent woman that Chrissie and Alan raised. Her fight and love never wavered.

    Damon really is Prince charming. I haven't seen a big fight out of him yet, I'm waiting on that. Hope to see a bit more of the Alpha we saw in the beginning of their story.

    I'll patiently wait for that.

    I really enjoyed the Parker (Chrissys dad) saga, and the later life long romance between Chrissy and Alan .Manzine. In fact Alan is my favourite out of all of the characters. He makes an absolute mess out of his life, but continues to love Chrissy even when they’re married to different partners. He’s the very epitome of a rock star. Then we come to all of Chrissys children. Kaley, Krystle Ethan, Eric and Khloe have heart wrenching stories as well. This book is all about Khloe and I’m in tenterhooks awaiting the next episode American Prince. As Alan weaves in and out of all the books, I’m well satisfied. You don’t have to read all of the books, but Alan is so charismatic, that you should read his love story with Chrissy first, to set the scene. Meanwhile, I’m rooting for Khloe and her prince.
