It is halfway through the First World War and Jeanette's son brings home Noah, a boy who says he has come from Belgium with his parents. He is thin, obviously undernourished and his expression in repose is sad. He never invites anyone to his house.
Jeanette becomes very fond of him as he integrates into their family and determines to find out more about him which leads her to Belgium where the war is raging.

    History is brought to life in this engaging, well-written novel about bravery, loyalty, and family ties. Each character is sympathetically drawn. Noah's plight is heartbreaking and Jeannette is truly a heroine as she steps up to embrace a victim of war and then get some answers. The setting is described vividly. The Lost Found by Elise Robbins is a book that will stay with you long after you turn the last page.
