About the author
Aimee Brown is a writer of romantic comedies set in Portland, Oregon. She writes closed door romance (NO sex scenes, light kissing) with humor and crude language. She spends much of her time writing, raising three kids (who are all nearly grown now), binge-watching shows on Netflix and obsessively cleaning and redecorating her house. She's fluent in sarcasm and has been known to utter profanities like she's competing for a medal.
Aimee grew up in Oregon but is now a transplant living in cold Montana with her husband of twenty+ years, two of three children, and far too many pets. She is a lot older than she looks and yes, that is a tattoo across her chest.
Aimee is very active on social media. She'd love to have you stop by and say hi!

The story kept me on my toes until the very end, which was such an AWW moment.
I loved how in alternating chapters the story moved both forward in the present and backward to the past. It was a super clever writing device.
In short, witty and full of heart… a total gem!
However, I had quite a bit of problems with the comma placements. There were many, many instances of improper usage. Sometimes sentences were only clauses, sometimes they were run-one, sometimes there needed to be commas for clarification, and sometimes commas were in unnecessary or even misleading places. I often needed to reread sentences or passages to determine what the author really meant.
Aimee, if you see this, I think your writing (plot/settings/characters) was good, but the editing was unfortunately not. If you are interested, I would be willing to proofread any of your future books to improve the grammar, and to help you avoid preventable confusion for the reader.
Jack was not innocent as you portray him to be. If he loved Emi as much as he claimed , his secretary would never
never ended up naked on top of him in his office!! He would have stopped her immediately. He wouldn't have invited Greta
(a different scantily clad woman) into his and Emi's apartment later that said day.
Limon was a better choice.
