    This was a uniquely written historical romance that I did like a lot. I enjoyed how forthright both Alexandra (Danvers) and Harry are about their feelings, themselves, and their beliefs .. they were. In addition, I appreciated how even though they both had their goals they didn’t allow their goals to get in the way of themselves. I especially enjoyed how because of a “situation,” even though Harry and Alexandra have “society rules” pushed onto themselves, Alexandra and Harry fall for one another despite that. Also, I was charmed by how Harry won Alexandra over.

    If you are one who doesn’t mind reading standalone novels/novellas that are in the middle of a series, then this is one you should check out.

    I DO recommend it to those who like sweet & steamy historical romance novels/novellas.

    This is a quick read and is well written with a lot of fun scenes, many of which had me laughing aloud because they were just downright funny.
    I came away feeling happy with the outcome and knowing that I had enjoyed yet another story by Scarlett Scott!
