I'm going to be honest and say that when Corinne said "Sean. Is. Mine! He's my favorite of the Arrowood brother's and I'm not going to share." I laughed and thought to myself "yeah yeah sure he is. You say this every time. But okay."..... then I read his story. She's right! Sean is the best of the Arrowood's and you can't have him. Okay, we'll all share. HA! I adored Sean and Devney's story and made my heart burst. There's swoon, sweetness, suspense and secrets. Everything I love! But in all seriousness, I loved this story from beginning to end. I honestly don't know if I've ever read a BEST friends to lovers story. I've read friends to lovers, but never best friends that are in complete denial about their feelings for each other. Their romance was just perfection. In classic Corinne fashion, she will obliterate your heart and then slowly put it back together. I will say that I actually saw the heartbreak and plot twists coming. I buddy read this with my co-blogger Taylor (read her review here) and she didn't see it coming at all! So I wouldn't call the plot predicable in the least. I have had the worst time reading in 2020 but with every book Corinne has released this year has been addictive and I flew through each and everyone. THE ONE FOR ME is the longest book in the Arrowood Brother series and I could have read their story forever! If you're looking for a sweet, slow-burn love story, with a ton of heart and soul, then look no further. Haven't started the Arrowood series yet?     This best friends to lovers story is beautiful romance that definitely packs an emotional punch, bringing me tears yet filled with plenty of laughter and that happy feeling that I crave in my romances. The love Sean and Devney share with each other just felt so right. They have experienced so much together throughout their lives and those shared moments bonded them from a young age and make them able to tackle any tragedy life throws their way. Yet transitioning from friends to lovers is not without some bumps in the road, especially with the secrets that lie between them. With Sean’s life as a baseball superstar and Devney’s love of her small town life, a love between them will take work but is certainly worth the journey to get there.

    The heartache and the fear of losing each other as best friends if a relationship between them failed really had my emotions all over the place. They had been best friends for over 20 years, so you’d think they know everything about each other, but some secrets were still between them. Devney is carrying a long buried secret that keeps her tied to Sugarloaf and the thought of leaving terrifies her. My heart ached over her long carried guilt and shame, I felt lighter once all was revealed, like my heart sighed with her trusting Sean with everything she had endured. She is such a strong woman yet opening herself fully to a kind, sweet and caring man like Sean to love her with no boundaries cemented my love for this couple. The passion they have with each other brings the steam, Sean is a man who knows how to make a woman feel cherished in the bedroom.

Sean is a sweet, charming and stand up man, a truly dreamy hunk, with the cover model being the PERFECT visual.

The thing is, she is hiding something that has held her back and not being able to be honest with Sean. They both have secrets, and she knew that with Sean being a famous baseball player, she would never fit in his word or leave hers to ever try. This book was really well paced, and I liked the direction she took it. This one made me cry. I did wish the answer to the most asked question was revealed sooner because it was a little too obvious. But great friends to lovers book.

    I finished this book in one sitting. It was that amazing, to where I couldn’t put it down. This is book 3 in the author’s Arrowood Brothers Series, and although I loved the previous two books, this one was on a whole different level for me.

    This story was beyond beautiful. To see the undying loyalty Devney & Sean have for each other was priceless. The love they finally share with each other is epic beauty. But their love only adds to their friendship. Their friendship is limitless, their love other-worldly. Each character has their ups and downs, but the way they support and never give up on each other is inspiring. I love their chemistry, since it was only touched on in the previous books. I have no idea how Mrs. Michaels keeps topping her previous characters, but she weaves a beautifully written love story for the ages.

    Another great book, filled with a roller coaster of emotions. Goosebumps, laughter and so many tears. Those poor Arrowood brothers have to jump through so many hoops to get their happy ever after. Sean and Devney’s story is so lovely. They’ve been best friends forever, but it takes Devney’s boy friend to be proposing for Sean to finally wake up and realise he’s been in love with her all his life and not just as a best friend. Devney takes a bit longer to realise but she’s got a huge secret she’s hiding from him and isn’t sure they’ll be able to work even if she does admit her feelings.

    Really enjoyed this book, and how the other brothers are still in it, so you get to catch up with them and see how they are doing . Love the banter between the brothers, it makes them so real. Sad that there’s only 1 book of this series left.

    Third read in a row of Corrine’s and I can’t get enough. The emotions she’s drawn and she continues to draw out of me is brilliant. I’m in love with the writing the way the words speak to my heart. This is a best friends to lovers romance with sooooo much angst that I saw coming but not coming the way it did. Broke me so many times but healed me so quickly. I devoured it so quickly that I’m off to Jacobs book. Highly recommend this book and devney is so far my favourite of all the heroines.

    What a hero, he is the white knight in shining armour but the heroine doesn't want him. I didn't like the heroine at all, she is whiny from the beginning. Repetitive inner monologues: I made a mistake while at college, now I have to pay; why does my mother hate me?
    Okay, she made a mistake falling for the smooth lines her professor fed her, but she cut ties as soon as she found out about his marriage.
    Instead of using her degree (although in one chapter she complains that she cannot work in her chosen line, the why is never explained) and building a carreer in a city near by, she choses to live in her hometown with an underpaid job, bemoaning her fate, having to live with her parents, having student's debts.....
    She claims to be in love with Sean, but is not willing to follow him to Florida "because she doesn't have a job there and doesn't want to be a kept woman". Maybe she can interview for a job there with the connections a famous ball player has?
    Then more drama, my complaints with her multiply. The big secret, I had it right from the beginning. The side characters were not amiable: a mother who cares more for her social standing than for her maltreated daughter, and an indifferent father.
    Sorry, not my cup of tea.
