“This book has lots of twists and turns in the plot, and many giggle-making moments - I thoroughly enjoyed it.” ~ Amazon customer review

Bewitched by his wicked blue eyes
Henrietta Morton knows to look the other way when the free trading 'gentlemen' are at work. Yet when a notorious pirate bursts into her local village shop, she can avert her eyes no more. Bewitched by his wicked blue eyes, a moment of insanity follows as Henrietta hides the handsome fugitive from the Militia.

Her reward is a kiss, lingering and unforgettable.
In his haste to flee, the handsome pirate drops a letter, a letter that lays bare a tale of betrayal. When Henrietta’s father gives her hand in marriage to a wealthy and villainous nobleman in return for the payment of his debts, she becomes desperate.

Blackmailing a pirate may be her only hope for freedom.

The first book of the acclaimed Rogues & Gentlemen series from Emma V Leech, the multi-award-winning Amazon Top 10 romance writer. Author of fan favourites such as Flaming June and Last Man in London, both listed in the 20 'Romance Reads You Can't Miss' in the Amazon Kindle Storyteller Awards 2018.

****
Warning: This book contains the most notorious rogue of all of Cornwall and, on occasion, is highly likely to include some mild sweating or descriptive sex scenes. ****

The Rogue is a book at will have your pulse racing from adventures as well as intimate moments, having said that I highly recommend this book. Giving it 4.5 stars out of 5 for this book is full of many things, adventure, romance, scheming and some sexy moments. A pirate named "The Rogue" and a Lady engaged to another become entangled with each other, there are twists and turns that one doesn't see coming. Though I'm not sure if I will continue reading this series, I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I give this book a Serrano Pepper rating because there are moments that are the slow burn getting you a little hot and bothered along with moments that will get you just that much warmer. Though the scenes would more than likely be considered "explicit" I would consider the scenes mild not a fade to black but less graphic than other books I have read and enjoyed.

I hope this helps you find your next Tantalizing Tome!

My first time reading this author but not my lasts. I have already ordered the second book of the series. A wonderful intelligent pirate story. I could hardly put it down but it was to long for me to read in one sitting. I could hardly get to sleep for thinking about how they would get out of their mess. By the way the ending was exciting and very well written. The characters throughout the book were very well described and the charisma was great. I even enjoyed the second tier characters very much. This book had excitement, love, danger, steamy, fun and much more. I highly recommend this book. I love a good pirate story and this one was very good.

Good read that was fast-paced and quite entertaining. Who doesn't love a good pirate romance with some great adventure and a Lady that does NOT need to be rescued (her words not mine lol).
Our heroine takes matters into her own hands when she tries to flee the Gentleman intended for her (by her father) and ends up in a lot more than she bargained for.

I have most of her books (e-book) and not a single one of them is lacking to me. Thrills of adventure, lovely and feisty heroines, accompanied by sexy men who leave the mind to wonder in fantasies of the readers own imagination. Emma has a knack for pulling me deep into each of her books and never wanting to return to reality. I first found her writing on Wattpad through a friend's recommendation of The Key To Erebus, and have fallen in love with her writing since that very first prologue. If she happens to read this review (she is a very busy woman in her corner of the world), I would like to thank her yet again for her beautiful mind that she shares with us throughout the world. Thank You for another great read!! I look forwrd to continuing Corin's adventures in the near future and also the next 2 books in this particular series. Thank you also to Amazon Kindle for carrying her books in your vast selections! I am physically unable to hold an actual book, so to have this as an option for me to escape the dark realities of this world around us, its a great way for me to jump into my addiction of reading.

Loved Henri and Lara's story. This story is so different than the Almack balls and traipses through Hyde park I usually read about in historical romance novels. I love those too but I especially loved the different scenario painted in this one. Another aspect of the era...full of dashing pirates and smugglers and sword-fights and what not. I was totally enamoured from start to finish. Not to mention the sizzling chemistry in this book. It was 🔥🔥🔥

I have had this book some time and have only now decided to read it, this being the first book I've read by Emma V Leech, I wasn't disappointed.
Henri Morton, the lead female character was feisty and showed spirit, which was a good thing as at times she needed her wits about her. The lead male, Captain Savage, pirate extraordinaire was honourable and swoon worthy.
The plot was engaging and exciting, and at other times quite sweet as Captain Savage, Lawrence met with his brother Alexander after 10 years.
There was some sex scenes, though not overly explicit and fell nicely into the story, on cheeky note it was heart warming to see that a female actually worked her wicked while on the honourable pirate and got into abit of a lather!!
I would thoroughly recommend this book and look forward to the next in the series as it is Alexander's story.

Whether writing fae, vampire or pirate, Ms Leech is a wordsmith worth reading! One can only fall in love with the characters she creates and enjoy the dynamic that comes about. Our initial meeting of our roguish pirate brings to mind the image of Adam Ant, and one can't help but feel swayed to fall a little in love with a roguish pirate oneself!

Lots of interesting characters and humour help to keep the plot interesting. I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book in the series.
