Wild Hearts, Ruthless Games

In the adrenaline-fueled world of Kingmakers, Sabrina Gallo stands as a force of nature. Untamed and fiercely independent, she’s more storm than woman, captivating and terrifying all who cross her path.

Bratva bad boy Adrik Petrov has finally met his match. Sabrina won’t be easily claimed—but for Adrik, the thrill of the chase is as intoxicating as the prize. He’s set on capturing her heart, no matter the cost.

Enticing her away from school, Adrik lures Sabrina into Moscow’s underworld. In this deadly environment, the stakes are only higher and tensions flare between this passionate pair who never learned to control their tempers…or their destructive impulses.

Can Adrik tame Sabrina Gallo, or will he find himself consumed by the very fire he seeks to control?

The Lark Notes:
This is for all my rowdy Love Larks who requested one more Kingmakers adventure. Sabrina Gallo and Adrik Petrov are fire and fire. Their relationship is an inferno that could burn the world down. — Sophie

“Kingmakers: Graduation” is a standalone story in the Kingmakers universe. It’s a dark mafia romance, lovers to enemies to lovers again. Reader prepare yourself: the steam is off the charts, including FF and FFM scenes.

“I like what I am. I’m not afraid to be more.”
Sabrina Gallo knows who she is and she knows exactly what she wants. It’s all a matter of saying screw expectation and reaching out and taking it, and now figuring out how to do that alongside someone else. Adrik sees Sabrina for the fierce woman that she is. He knows she’s more than anyone could dare to imagine and she is exactly who he wants. I don’t want to spoil this story for anyone, so I’m going to keep my thoughts as base layer and vague as possible. I think what I love most about The Savage is that Sophie saw how drawn all of us were to Sabrina and truly gave us HER full throttle and without holding back. She’s falling in love in this story and while she knows herself, she’s also finding new parts of herself and creating a life in a new world. She makes mistakes. She gets mad. She speaks her mind. She is insanely human and I love how even though she lives a life they feels unbelievable she is still an extremely real character. “It scares me. I feel desperate and crazy—way past normal. I feel like I was already on the edge, and then I met you and I jumped right off the cliff.” Adrik is easy to love as well. He’s so much like Sabrina that it causes a lot of chaos in their relationship, but it’s as if they already know one another so well right off the bat. Sure I wanted to strangle him a few times, but that’s understandable because Sabrina comes first for me. The pull these two had toward one another, the chemistry, and the ease that these two have, even with all the chaos that ensues, usually because of one of them, is just mind blowing. It’s honestly like they each found their perfect pairing in the midst of a rescue mission. What are the odds? Sigh. Just thinking about their love makes me smile. It’s wild. It’s intense. It’s hot. It’s volatile. And their romance is only a portion of what this story is about. There’s much much more going on than the romance, but yeah it’s obviously one of my favorite parts because not only do they find love they find so much more in one another. Their love and SabrinaAdrik’s journey from page one to the end was just everything I didn’t know that I needed from this story. I know Sophie did us a solid writing this, but with everything that happens in this book I don’t know HOW she could go without giving us more of this world and it’s characters. I mean… can we stay here forever? Please. TW: violence, recreational drug use

I think Sabrina Gallo is unlike any other heroine I’ve ever encountered in any book. Sabrina is wild, spontaneous, seductive, brilliant, a fast thinker, a risk-taker, and volatile. Sabrina’s experiences with Adrik Petrov results in explosions in chemistry that carry throughout the book - from taking off for their first date in the first chapter to the very last page of the book. Very few heroes could beat the first date that Adrik set up for Sabrina. He understood the assignment. I felt excited reading their action filled adventures in The Savage.

I enjoy reading about wild and passionate characters like Sabrina. I liked that Adrik didn’t get jealous of Sabrina’s interest in females in the very beginning which led to an intriguing scene involving another female. I liked that he felt so secure in himself that he didn’t get jealous then but instead embraced Sabrina’s interest at that time. Adrik and Sabrina have several intriguing and spicy scenes throughout the book. There are also steamy descriptions of Sabrina with a girlfriend from her past.

Adrik is also volatile. He’s a great leader beginning with his days at Kingmakers’s. He sees Sabrina as the tigress that she is.

But they become enemies in time. With both of them being volatile, the plot thickens. It becomes explosive, exciting, and sad. The emotions and feelings of Adrik and Sabrina are so strong and intense, they seem amplified.

I listened to the playlist as each song came up in the book. The songs matched the scenes perfectly and set the mood. The illustrations within the book were beautifully drawn and also matched the scenes that followed perfectly. I could visualize the scenery and imagery so easily for this book and the whole Kingmakers’s series with the descriptions that the author used.

There are a few appearances from past characters from the author’s previous books. It is probably a good idea to read the other Kingmakers’s books before reading this book to prevent spoilers of those books, especially The Spy. I enjoyed reading about the past characters and seeing their reactions to the explosive relationship between Sabrina and Adrik. I’m looking forward to the retelling of Anastasia from the author but I would love it if the author’s fans could once again talk the author into writing another Kingmakers’s book.

I really enjoyed Sabrina and Adrik’s story. Sabrina’s character intrigued me when we met her in the last book, Nix and Rafe’s story. She was very mysterious and took no crap from anyone. It was interesting to see her and Adrik together. They were very alike and butted heads a lot. But they loved each other fiercely and their physically relationship also played a huge part in making them work. I wasn’t entirely thrilled at the amount of time they were separated towards the end. It’s just a pet peeve of mine. I wasn’t sure how Sabrina was ever going to reconcile with him. She seems way to stubborn and Adrik didn’t know how to say the right things to her or apologize. He never did by the way. Sabrina apologized to him but I feel like he never atoned for the part he played in their split. There were also quite a few typos in the story which surprised me. All in all it was an excellent addition to the Kingmaker’s series. It was very entertaining and the storyline was really good.

I loved each book from Kingmakers series but this by far was my favorite. I love a strong MFC and Sabrina did not take any crap from anyone even the people she loved. Chemistry between Sabrina and Adrick was insanely HOT. Loved that this book took place in the real world vs the academy. Loved loved loved. Hate to see the series end but throughly enjoyed it and I most definitely see myself reading the entire series AGAIN.

    The Savage
    By Sophie Lark

    5/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
    5/🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

How Do You Tame A Savage?

Sabrina Gallo is an animal.

From the moment I laid eyes on her, I had to have her.

But Sabrina won’t be taken by anyone. She’s wild and reckless – downright dangerous.

Lucky for me, I’ve always loved a challenge… I want to hunt.

Even if I capture her, caging a tiger doesn’t mean it’s tamed.

The harder she fights, the more ruthless I become.

She needs to learn how savage I can be.

    - So I’m here to admit I was one of the late bloomers to jump on the Sophie Lark train. As soon as I read Brutal Prince I knew I was hooked and had found one of my new favorite authors. Falling in love with both the Gallos and the Petrovs I knew this book would be amazing! Sabrina the daughter of the infamous Gallo brother Nero, and Adrik the son to Domnik Petrov, one of the most powerful men in Russia. Sabrina is the badass bitch that couldn’t have a care in the world and takes what she wants and Adrik the legend of Kingmakers that created a wolf pack so ruthless even the professors were afraid of them. Adrik knew he wanted Sabrina when he first laid eyes on her on a precarious rescue mission they embarked on together. Months later he shows up to Kingmakers to take the coal colored hair beauty on a date. The sparks fly from there and they soon realize they don’t want to be apart. These two have so much passion and chemistry that you can feel their intimacy melting your page. As they embark on a journey together they learn the more time they spend together the more alike they are. I was super excited for this coupling when I first read them in The Spy. I absolutely loved Nero in his book so I really enjoyed seeing him play the protective father. I really loved this book and thought it was the perfect ending for this series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sophie Lark, queen of mafia romances
Reviewed in Italy on March 17, 2022
I have mixed feelings about this.

And I will go on forever telling them.

Sophie Lark’s books are always incredible. You want to devour them even though sleep is a necessity and reading while working is not permitted, but this woman knows how to write a compelling story.

However, I didn’t love it as the others because I had different expectations and I know that issue falls down on me.

Sabrina, is sassy, clever, witty. I loved her and her sexuality. Loved Adrik, too. A man with an ego and still confidence is great.

However the plot was too centered between these two characters. I never see a great interaction between the other of the Wolfpack or a connection created, friendship. Personal conversations. That part misses in this book and is quite odd to me.

Another thing I did not like was their fight. For how great it was written and had an important aspect in the plot, I wanted to hear the regret of Adrik and that did not happen.

Last thing that made me angry, the wedding. It seems people have to marry to belong to one another. I hoped that an unconventional couple like them could have had a different ending an unconventional way of tying themselves together for the rest of their lives.

Jasper is my next hope for another Sophie Lark book. His character was scratched a bit but I want to know more and I want his story.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is one of the best books I’ve ever read!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 15, 2022
This review was hard to write. Not because it was bad. No, quite the opposite in fact. It’s hard to write because this book is one of the best books I’ve ever read, and I don’t think I have the words to do it justice.

To put it simply, The Savage was perfect. It was everything I hoped for and more. Literally from the first page I was hooked and already obsessed. The words were addictive and I couldn’t get enough of them. And no matter how many words Sophie wrote in this book, it will never be enough- it’s just so brilliant.

This book had me completely enthralled from the start, and I have no doubt you’ll become as hooked as I did. Begging for your next fix. Devouring every word. And salivating over every new chapter.

I knew from reading her Kingmakers series- also known as one of my favourite series’s ever- that Sabrina and Adrik’s story was going to be phenomenal. The savageness of both characters wouldn’t allow for a bad book. They demanded perfection and perfection they got. Sabrina is fire. She is fierce. She is everyone’s girl crush. I absolutely love her character and the balls of steel that she has. She brought a whole new level of cunning excitement to this book. And Adrik... My precious Adrik. He is pure sin. But he also has a lot of emotion and depth, that make him a great character. And I love the way he interacted with Sabrina and excepted her brand or craziness and savagery. But what i also loved is that both characters have flaws. Because at the end of the day, us romance readers love to see traits that make these characters slightly more relatable and human.

But this story isn’t all love and rainbows. No. It has danger, it has violence and it has raw emotion. Oh and of course steamy scene that will make you blush red hot with butterflies in you stomach.

Everything about this book is brilliant. But one thing I especially loved was the detail Sophie put into it. From the smallest things in the book to the largest, Sophie left no detail out. It is clear that she spent hours researching and fine picking everything. She has put her soul into this book and it has paid of. This books is a phenomenal read!

I give this book all the freaking stars!

“Men look at me and they see liquid sex poured into the body of their dreams. They want me so bad that they can't possibly imagine that what's inside that package might not appeal to them quite as much as the exterior. They say I'm everything they ever wanted - then they want to change everything about me"

“I keep looking for a hole in his persona - something he thinks he knows that I know he's wrong about. Some cringey joke. Some moment where I puncture his ego, and like every other man I've ever met, he can't handle it and his temper flares. That's what I expect to happen, because that's what's always happened when I've tried to date men. They hate when you disagree with them, especially when you're right. They hate when you don't fawn over them. And most of all, they hate when you're different than the picture of you they created in their mind.”

(I couldn't choose between these two quotes. They both hit me right in the feels. Beautifully said).

Yep, Sophie Lark has done it again. What an EPIC ending to the Kingmakers series *cue tears*. I thought I was ready for the explosiveness that is Adrik and Sabrina but boy was I wrong. They are just electric. Sabrina is strong, fierce, honest and rowdy af. I love her so much. The action in this book is freaking fantastic; I had to remind myself to breathe multiple times. I adored seeing Sloane in this book and the important role she played in Adrik and Sabrina's lives. So beautiful. 4.5 stars.

    Non-Spoiler review.
We wanted it, we asked for it and we got it. However, we are so unprepared for this bombshell of a story. Adrik was too.

Sabrina is my new wild spirit animal. She’s an Aida 2.0 (whom Sabrina has a very tender moment with). Wild, unchained, free, proud, borderline unstable and I am so in love with her for it.

Adrik is just as wild, free, and proud. Forging his own path in the jungle that is Moscow. He wants the king’s share, thriving for the top and settling for nothing less than that.

The sparks start the very moment they meet and grow until it’s a full-on forest fire and burns everything in its path. Both of them think, believe, and try to contain it but neither wants to compromise so eventually, they lose control.

Now, Sophie makes very bold choices in this story, and it is very fitting. Like Sabrina and Adrik, the story bends the rules because it won’t stand to be constricted by conventions and such. The book goes where it wants to and we just need to buckle ourselves good for the ride.

I felt dizzy once I was done because that’s how intense The Savage is.

I would 100% recommend this book, however!! The warnings need to be taken seriously: as Sophie said, there is FFM and FF in this book AND drug usage. As anything else in Dark Romance: read at your own risk.

    10/10 for me!
