The Starlet (Hollywood Lust Book 3) Kindle Edition
Elena Conners
The life of a Hollywood starlet has its advantages—fame, parties, and boys—just to name a few. But behind all that, I’m lonely.
I want someone who’s going to make my heart skip a beat and send tingles through my body.
When Bradley Mathas gets cast as my love interest, I know I’m done for.
It’s a bad idea—the worst. But I can only fight the pull so long. Now, I just need to convince him that our relationship doesn’t have to only be pretend.
Bradley Mathas
There’s no way a girl like Elena Conners would ever want a guy like me. She’s funny, smart, and sexy as hell. She’s also now my on screen love interest.
The next few months are going to get real interesting. I’m trying so hard to keep my feelings under wraps. But the more we film, the harder it becomes to fight our sizzling chemistry.
Do I risk it all and tell her? With the way she bats her eyes at me, I think I might have to.
Can two Hollywood stars fall in love, or is it simply lust?

- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2020I knew I would enjoy this book as much as the first 2 and it did not disappoint! With lots more intrigue and still involving the other characters made this a great story.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2019This one just wasn’t for me. The premise was intriguing and I’ve never heard of this author before, so I thought I’d give the book a chance. And there is a lot to like - costars who don’t know if the sparks they’re feeling from the other are for the screen or real, chemistry, and plenty of heat. But the vast majority of the book focuses on their sex life and drama with a stalker, leaving very little time for these two to actually get to know each other. It also takes an unexpected turn for the kinky and becomes a somewhat dom/sub relationship, which took a book that I was already on the fence about and made it quickly go downhill.
The story follows Elena, an actress about to start a sexy new role. When Bradley auditions for the part of her costar, sparks fly immediately and she knows that might be trouble since they’ll be filming plenty of steamy scenes. As they spend time together, the lust between them quickly becomes apparent but neither is sure how the other is truly feeling and they don’t want to mess with their working relationship. When Elena discovers she has a stalker, Brad steps in and helps her deal with the situation, making it impossible to ignore what’s between them.
I definitely enjoyed the first half more than the second; it has a light, sexy feel that focuses on the chemistry between these two. As the book moved forward, that’s where it started to lose me. The stalker is a huge storyline, but the kink is as well. Around the time Brad started calling Elena a good girl and gave her a real O on screen, I started to disconnect from the book. There’s nothing specifically bad about it, it’s just much more about the lust than anything else and dom/sub relationships really aren’t for me. Go into it with open eyes and perhaps you’ll enjoy it more than I did. I received a free copy via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2019Cara Wade definitely saved the best for last in this riveting story of love and obsession. Every page raises the stakes even higher. The suspense of trying to discover who is stalking Elena will have your heart in your throat. Add that to the steamy romance developing between her and Brad, and you have a recipe for a story that will have you turning the pages faster than you thought was possible.
I received a free copy of this book, and preordered one of my own, and am voluntarily leaving a review.
My one qualm with this story is how the stalker storyline is ultimately resolved. I do not agree with the choice here at all. While the author clearly explains the reasoning, I felt that it made Elena appear a bit nieve. I also felt that Bradley should have pushed a little harder on the subject because of the situation they had just walked out of. Despite all that, I absolutely loved this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2019I have been waiting for Elena and Bradley’s story since the first book and the best one was definitely saved for last. I DEVOURED this book. I was completed sucked into the story, the romance, the drama.
I love Elena, she is fully of sass, talent and she is caring. Bradley is super protective, especially when it comes to Elena. There was an instant connection and instant chemistry between the two of them. You could feel it from their very first audition together.
The drama and mystery that was mixed into the story added a lot of depth and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
If you’ve read The Publicist and The Playboy you will recognize some overlap in some of the story, which I absolutely loved because I loved seeing the same scene from three completely different perspectives and learning more details about what had happened. If you haven’t read the other two books you can still enjoy The Starlet, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading them all!
I am sad this is the final book in the series, because I truly loved all these characters and I am just not ready to say goodbye to them.
If you love some drama, some steam (hello dominant, alpha Brad), glitz and glamour this is a MUST READ!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2019I think this one was my favorite of the series. I loved Bradley more than the previous heroes , maybe because he wasn’t a true star yet and not jaded by the attention of Hollywood. Elena was sweet in the first two books and I’m happy to get her HEA story here. She didn’t have much luck with men in the past and the stalker aspect added a lot to the storyline. I hate to see this series end but I’m sure there are more good books to come from this author.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2019Elena is the Hollywood star who looks like she has it all. But under the glitz and glamour she is lonely and is looking for the one. When Bradley gets cast to be her love interest she sees his potential for real life love. He is equally attracted to her as well.
With fake vs reality an everyday event these two take a while to be a couple. There is of course a twist to challenge them and their HEA.
Really enjoyed the storyline, characters and development. Kept me entertained from beginning to end.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2019The Starlet was the best in the Hollywood Lust Series. I had loved both of the prior books in the series, but this one was even better if that is even possible. It was a real page turner. I like the way the story differentiated from the other two stories. I liked to see how Elena and Bradley felt the same way from the beginning for each other along with the other story line. Just when you think everything is alright for the two of them there is a twist. I don't want to give away to much in my review, so I will say it keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end. This book is well worth the read and Cara doesn't disappoint.

Good story! I bet Hollywood starlets all have their strange, different fans, and Elena is no exception. She is being stalked in Hollywood as well as on location in Canada, where she meets Bradley. He's the new actor on set, who makes Elena's body do funny things. Come take a ride with them during shooting the movie and after. Sweet couple, good stalking story line. Hot scenes. Good book Cara Wade! I mentioned HOT, right?
