Andy was born in Blackburn, Lancashire, UK and grew up living in various different places including Germany before returning to Clitheroe to settle down. After gaining a Bachelors degree in Media Production in 2004 he forged a highly successful career in Retail Management before launching his foray into Children’s books.

He writes in a humorous, fun and exciting style, whilst addressing hard hitting topics in his books. His debut novel The Super Twins was released in 2020, hitting the Amazon best seller list in multiple categories. His newest release The Super Twins 2 is gaining fantastic reviews and completes the 'twin-pack' of books.

Squeezed in amongst his professional duties he’s a dad to identical twin boys, who are his absolute world. Andy loves to go to the gym, swim and has enrolled in his first half-marathon which is on the calendar for September 2021.

    I loved The Super Twins! The book was full of adventure, action, suspense and humor. The heroes are relatable and funny. The villain is complex and mysterious, which makes him all the more scary. The special connection the Super Twins share, something that I imagine mirrors that real life twin connection, makes the story even more powerful. The book captures a depth of relationships and complexity, which I think make for a great book or series. The writing was solid, the plot exciting and nuanced and the characters interesting.     My 10 y/o son read this book. He really enjoyed it; he said his favorite thing about the story were the twins, who he thought were funny. The story that unfolds is lighthearted and fun about a set of twins who suddenly find themselves endowed with super powers. They are then called upon to undertak the huge responsibilty of saving their town from a dastardly villain. There is a twist in the latter part of the book that he said he didn’t see coming, which was a nice surprise. My son rated it four stars and is really looking forward to the next book in the series.

    I loved the illustrations by Kate illustrate. She captured the battle between the golden shield and vortex and evil dad so well and the illustrations of flying motorcycles and make shift weaponry of bin lids and baking trays and tins was awesome 👏

But this book isn't just for kids, adults will equally enjoy the book due to its wit and inspiration. The thing I like the most about 'The Super Twins' is the imaginative descriptions that reconnect you to a child's mind. I immediately reconnected myself to that age and now, with a mature(ish) mind, see the reflections and observations the author has made. This is a special talent that is able to express a true human story which really engages the reader. For a debut this is excellent and deserves more recognition. I really hope to read more from the author, keep up the good work!
