What A Twist!
Even though you Don't necessarily have to read the books before this one, I'm going to because I would Love to see the story of Des's parents. Also, the story of what led up to this one will give a different perspective when it comes to the characters. This story makes you WANT to read the others. I really liked this storyline. It wasn't an edge of your seat but definitely had me engaged & wanting to know more. At the end all I could think was Wow, I can't wait for the next book. And if I'm being honest, I am Still Amazed by the Author's Extraordinary imagination and how lovely it all comes together to make a wonderful story. I give this Book 5 stars & I definitely recommend reading or listening to it. Lena

    OMG was this book so good! I knew it would be good but MAN it definitely surpassed that level! It was definitely a page Turner and when it was nearing the end I DID NOT want it to end. Seeing the old crew and meeting the new crew wow. The next generation is I don’t want to say better then their parents but fine I’ll say it they are!
    I have to say I LOVE all things Dragons! The fact that this book was primarily located in the Dragon realm made my heart so happy. The main Heroine Desildri reminded me so much of her mom Sapphire and so much of her dad Rune she is a perfect combination of both parents. Fearless,always wanting to help and has an open mind.
    This book was similar to the first 3 books as it included another Prophecy. This prophecy tho had so many moving pieces to try and decipher. Both Seers couldn’t give much but gave enough. At one point I thought Des’ mate was not who I wanted it to be. Well you will just have to read to figure out who it ended up being. I can keep going but I won’t you have to read the awesomeness that is this book.
    Seriously go read it! Jessica F keeps you wanting more. I can’t wait until book 5 of the series but book 2 of this storyline. Come on July!

    The author warned us that this book is the hottest of all of the books in the Onyx Series & she was absolutely right.

    This book picks up with generation 2, but is definitely a continuation of the events from the first 3 books. You should read the first 3 books before this one, not only will it help you understand the rest of the story, but they are really good!

    In an attempt to keep out possible spoilers for the first 3 books I am going to be a bit vague in this review, seriously go read this whole series! I love Des as a character, she is unashamed of who she is & what makes her tick & I cannot wait to see where she grows to in the next book. This book brings in a whole new baddie, and again I cannot wait to see where this goes. Not gonna lie, that ending left me a bit broken, but knowing how this author works I have faith that it will all come together. Now to tuck in and wait for book 5.

    This is a continuation of the secret in Onyx series. It is not necessary to read them before reading this, …. but you really do want to read those too! 😅 This book is the beginning of (dragon shifter) Desildri’s story. Ruhn and Sapphira’s oldest daughter is walking out her destiny and helping to heal people and the world when princes Valor and Zarden from the Dragon Court come to seek her help in defeating a “big bad”.
    Being the good (and overprotective at times) parents they are, Ruhn and Sapphira won’t let her go without a group of her closest friends and protectors to make sure she’s safe- I loved seeing this crew in action. Also Ruhn as a father is hot as hell.
    The dragon princes are fantastically charming and charismatic and both are interested in Des.
    There are awesome plot twists, spicy sexy scenes and parts that make you laugh out loud.
    There is bisexual representation and some D/s.
    I really enjoyed getting to know the new generation and meeting the dragons. The book does end on a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait for the next book.
    I loved meeting Ruhn and Sapphira’s family and seeing the kids and some familiar people from the previous books

    “We choose how we come back from the fall."
    After a long day, I decided to curl up with Tragedy of Jade around 8pm to help me unwind. Big mistake. Seven hours later, I flipped to the last page with tears in my eyes. It's been years since I stayed up half the night because I couldn't put down a book but here I am. Bleary eyed and exhausted with no regrets.
    I've been a big fan of Florence for years now but there was something about this story that put it above everything else. The storytelling was impeccable and completely enthralling. I was drawn into Des's world and needed to know more about the dragons and their secrets.
    And that ending... dear God I need the next book asap.

    Jessica Florence is truly a master storytelller! She creates these worlds and characters that draw you in and cause your heart to race and eyes to blur because you want to keep reading well past bedtime. This story was full of heat, heart pounding moments and leave you anticipating what will come next. Great job! Can’t wait to see where the next book takes these characters.
