The Uncertain Scientist (The Lost Planet Series Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 376 ratings

I had everything I ever wanted.
I was brilliant, successful, esteemed.
Alone.
But I didn’t mind. I liked being alone.

Until they stole me.

And I wake up, captive, pregnant with an alien baby—and still a virgin.

For a race of freaks nearing extinction, there seems to be far, far too many of them.

Everywhere I turn, one of the morts or their human mates wants to comfort me, make me feel welcome and safe. But I don’t want to feel welcome or safe. I want the life they stole from me.

None of them pay any heed to my angry tirades, least of all the father of the child I carry. There’s no doubt he wants the baby, but that isn’t all he wants.

In fact, I’m beginning to think if some of the morts had their way I’d never be alone again.

We are on to book four, and this series keeps getting better and better. - Tai-FantasyLandBlog, Blogger

Oh my rekking this book, this series! It's so rekking good and super rekking hot! Chantal R, Reviewer

Too often we say that books in a series keep getting better and better or that it's the best of the series! This one, I have to say, just proves that this author duo know where they're going - the crook their fingers at you with the Morts, and you can't help it. You come running. Kathleen r, Reviewer

I loved this book, but I want more! That ending has me desperately waiting for the next installment. Author H.B. Jasick

This series continues to get better and better. It's so layered and written so well. MrsHReadsAlot, Reviewer

Holy smokes that one was hot!! Getting not one, not two but three POVs, enhanced the storyline and made it more pleasurable to read. 😉 Book Boyfriend Whoarder Mari, Reviewer

I Give this Book a 3.5-4/5 Star Rating, Listing as 4.

    Heat: 3.5/5
    Romance: 3.5-4ish/5
    Suspense: 3.5/5
    Drama: 4/5

I really enjoyed this book, but it did feel like I was on fast forward, so there wasn’t really any in-depth feel to the book.

I look forward to reading the next book!
All books must be read in order :)

The Uncertain Scientist is rekking amazing! Sayer and Jareth are secret lovers. What happens when the human alien Grace is awoken pregnant with one of their babies? Another addictive installment in this mind blowing series by K Webster and Nicole Blanchard. Super steamy interspecies sex, a thrilling storyline, secrets, and unmistakable desire are just some of the amazing things that pop up in this book. Are threesomes better than twosomes? Will Grace right a wrong? Will Jareth and Sayer accept Grace and her mortling into their lives without disruption? This book was exciting, racy, intriguing, heartfelt, and taboo. I couldn't put this down once I started. And that end though... I need the next volume in this continuing and seductive saga asap.

Perhaps because there were three of them in the relationship this book seemed to go a little bit better in terms of building a relationship. That said, there were still way too many things that just didn't make sense and the timeline felt REALLY loosey-goosey. For instance, no spoilers.... I'm pretty sure the last book ended within a few days of Molly being pregnant and yet she mentions in this book almost being ready to give birth.

This series has become a really bad guilty pleasure and I'm pretty sure I need my head examined to continue reading on but I am.

Seeing the teasers for this book had me worried. I was worried Jareth was somehow going to be left out but I should have known Nicole and Kristi wouldn't do something like that to these Morts that I have become obsessed with. Before reading, I didn't think I would want them to all be together but after, it could not have been written any other way. Grace, Sayer, and Jareth were just meant to be. And like with every other book, the epilogue just makes me need the next book yesterday.
I have been completely sucked into to the world that is Mortuus that I am wanting books for each of the remaining Morts and then all the mortlings. To think, the girl who has one of the biggest fears being aliens has completely fallen in love with a series about them.

I started this book and then didn’t finish for months. It was headed in a direction I wasn’t really comfortable reading about. But after recent events I came to realize that if I wanted change I had to change my views as well. So, I picked up my Kindle and started it over. I already knew most of the characters and was familiar with the storyline. Grace, Sayer and Jareth were exactly what each other needed to be whole. I loved how the little crew in the facility are becoming one big family and have each other’s backs. This is a really good series, well throughout and entertaining.

While I have even claimed an alien loved, this universe lost in the unique circumstances that brought these women to find love with the group of surviving species of what is slowly revealing to be an evolutionary version of (nope not spoiling it).

I enjoyed the story but found myself curious on some unanswered questions while it may be this duo authors plan to keep us in suspense and possibly my own book slump interrupted me from loving it to the full 5 stars, the steam and more backstory given made this a must, if you have started the series than we know while they are standalones for each couple each book reveals a bit more of the origin of everything in this world, if you are new go back too book 1 and join the faction you will regret nothing.

Eep! Another tasty taboo delight! I can't get enough of these aliens, these authors just a humanize them too well. Grace is feisty and fierce and in way over her head when she wakes up in a strange new world. Sayen and Jareth are happiest being left alone, it's beautiful how they come together and tame the wild woman that's meant for them. It was a thrilling and naughty ride.

It is highly advisable that you read the books in the series order and that you read the other before this one. That being said, I love the maintenance of this world building... This book was a surprise. I started reading it and thought I was not gonna like it but it had me hooked. Recommend!

Oh my! This is my favourite one so far. I didn't think I'd enjoy a ménage book, however, I got proved wrong 😂

Honestly, I really enjoyed the relationship between the three of them and how it developed. I completely understood Grace being scared to open up to anyone having lived her life completely alone and who wouldn't be mad waking up from cryosleep and finding yourself pregnant?!

Learning more about the world with each book has been great. I have some theories, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see with the next one!
