**ARC REVIEW** I'm enjoying this series so much. I didn't think I would enjoy this genre but Kristi & Nicole have done such an intriguing amazing job!! I think Mortuus needs a 6th Female!!! Send me up 😏 Book 2 begins with the story of Calix. He's the top medic on the planet and the 1st person to see Emery. The first contact was mesmerizing and shocking for Calix. He made it his mission to befriend her learn everything about her. Emery has woken in a strange unexpected place with no one she recognizes, she's afraid and her health is declining being on this planet. She's afraid she will be taking her last breathe soon. Calix has taken on the challenge to cure emery and disobey all rules. He sees in Emery what Breccan sees in Aria. He has made it his mission to care for Emery and hopefully she in-turn will feel the same for him. Emery only feels safe with Calix. She has Trust and Hope he will find a cure but when Calix finds the truth about Emery, will he still feel the same? OR will he treat her differently and have her become a prisoner...

    The world in which the authors have created is vividly written . As a reader the imagery from the pages pulls me in and I can see and feel everything among the pages .

    At times I have to say I felt constricted reading Emery’s words , her alignment was a definite “” feels”” for me ..

    I enjoy the take the authors have put forth on speech , machinery , the new age - futuristic spiel on things .

    This was a good second installment. I liked Calix and Emery. Emery was a tough cookie for sure. I didn’t really ever have a good enough feel for Calix. Like I just didn’t get him. He was a scientist and a germaphobe, but falling in love with Emery helped cool that part of him down. I feel like the action of this story was really interesting and done well. I kinda like that they were trapped in the caves. I think it works for them. I’m really curious now about Draven’s story. I hope it’s good. I honestly have no idea how it could go.

    The Vanished Specialist is book 2 of the Lost Planet series written by K Webster and Nicole Blanchard. This book is about Calix and Emery. We also get to see more of the characters that we met in book 1, The Forgotten Commander.

    Although you could probably read this on its own, I think it adds so much more to the experience if you read book 1 first.

    I absolutely loved book 1, and I think I loved this book, book 2, even more. I think Calix is my favorite of the morts (alien men) so far. This book had me so enthralled that I didn't want to set it down for even a second.

    I am so in love with this alien series. I cannot wait to read book 3. I don't know how many books there will be but I am hoping for many many more. These books are sure to be read and re-read time and again. They are so much fun.

    I love this series and I’ve never read a series about aliens that I loved! So I loved Calix and Emery together. But I didn’t really love how they reacted to everyone else. Like, I understand that they had a super strong instabond. But Aria was trying to make sure the Morts weren’t taking advantage of the sleeping women, but it didn’t feel like Emery was appreciative of that. Calix blatantly went against the Commander’s orders to take her from Aria. Which I understand. But I don’t know. I just felt like both of them were kind of rude and disrespectful to the people who love and care about them and want them to be safe and well. But all that aside, their love was instant and they were so cute together. Emery struggled with her health and Calix did whatever he could to take care of her and I loved them together. Can’t wait to read the next book!

    In the previews book some readers expressed feeling uncomfortable on certain scenes, while I dissagree since this is sci-fi and we are speaking of aliens we shouldn't expect the same behaviors of any man, this book does not hold the same stigma.

    While the consequence of their mating lead to the same situations, in this story our hero and lead female have a bond the previews couple didn't share in the beginning thou by the end both are very much in love.

    The adventure in book 2 expanded our view of this planet and not only gave us another alien fight over as a book bf, but relayed more info as to why these ladies where in the previously mention ship.
