Morgan and Zeke!
5 out of 5 stars
Morgan and Zeke!
The ballet and bikes! I was intrigued by the cover of this book and I absolutely loved this! I loved Morgan’s snark and how he speaks his mind. Zeke and Morgan are opposites-attract and can’t deny their attraction to each other! This book was a great combination of steamy romance, danger and found family. This was the first book I read by Rebecca James and I enjoy rereading it!

It was much better than I expected. Morgan, the ballerino of the title, had a brother who was a biker. Jake died in a crash, but unfortunately, he was not alone. His passenger was the girlfriend of a member of a rival motorcycle club. The rival gang found out about Morgan and made plans to go after him in revenge for the girlfriend's death. Jake's club sent Zeke to Morgan's apartment on the day of Jake's funeral to bring him in and hopefully save his life.

Zeke didn't quite break into Morgan's apartment-the balcony door was left unlocked-but he did scare the hell out of him. Morgan thought he was being kidnapped for his family's money. His family owned lots of properties in New York City. Morgan fought back, but Zeke was finally able to get him to calm down enough to explain what was going on.

Morgan is a student dancer with one of the companies in New York and Zeke is assigned by the club to be his bodyguard. Without giving away all the plot details, we do get a happily ever after with Zeke and Morgan.

Zeke had only slept and dated women before meeting Morgan. So we get a bi-awakening which is done fairly well. Zeke came from an abusive and highly homophobic household. He fights his feels for Morgan, but like I said, we do get our happy ending. The author did a good job at portraying the mindset of someone who had grown up in such abuse who is now facing a complete paradigm shift in his thinking. He is attracted to a man and wants to get physical with a man. Zeke's journey is reason enough to read the book.

The secondary characters are extremely strong-this is a series that features some of them in subsequent books. The plot is interesting. My only complaint is that the subplot with the rival gang was over too quickly. I would have liked to have seen more of Zeke playing the defender.

I did enjoy it and recommend it.

Ok. I Really liked this book for a New-to-me Author. I read it pretty much straight through without taking a break cause it sucked me in and I needed to know what happened next. Great Plot and Storyline. Morgan is working toward becoming a Principle Ballerino, while trying to take on more responsibility of his parents multi-million dollar company. Zeke Is a biker with the Biker Club Morgan’s brother was involved with. When Morgan’s brother unexpectedly dies, it’s Zeke’s job to keep Morgan safe from Harm from the Rival Club. Now. This book has a great twist at the ending that I did NOT see coming. I mean I was on the edge of my seat reading it. Really well done. It’s a HEA. But Now I really need book two to hear Swish and Dante’s story and I really need to know more about Blaze’s story too. and I am really disappointed I have to wait for them to be finished written to read the next books. LOL.

The book is on the small side but honestly it packed a lot of story into it. It is a good primer to set up the rest of the series. So many characters to choose from.

Annoying side note: It was super annoying that every they mentioned "Hung" they had to reference his ethnicity all the time. I'm sure he may get a book himself but I just hope they flesh him out and not lean on the "well hung Latino" fetish. It made his character less relatable and more of an 'other' than a person.

For that reason I dropped 2 stars. As a Latina, I don't like seeing my people in that way.

Intriguing premise with a 19 yo ballet dancer hooking up with a 27 yo mechanic in a MC. Set in NYC, the Dom/sub element is played out carefully. The first half deals with inter MC actions, while more ballet as well as corporate intrigue drive the plot.
A first of a series, James establishes players for later books, but uses the dual POV of Zeke and Morgan to build and fill out a cast of interesting folks and situations. Flashbacks and family are recurring tropes.
With 40+ years of exposure to the fine arts, I'd never encountered the term "ballerino", having heard and read male dancers called the French word danseur. I will admit that the title did play a captivating element in my purchase and selection to read.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, but I was intrigued with a tattooed motorcycle rider and a ballet dancer. I love opposites attract genres. Can I say at no time was I disappointed? I loved the story. It had a good storyline and enough steam. But it wasn’t constant sex which I liked. I recommend this story if you like hot motorcycle guys, steam, action stories, and great side characters. And the ballet dancer is no pansy either. He was pretty amazing

Loved the opposites attract trope of this story. The author gives us a bad boy biker and an innocent young ballerina add in a dash of danger, a pinch of friendship a scoop of steamy connection and you will have a fun and interesting romance to read.

Morgan and Zeke are both interesting characters that i thought were well developed. The writing flowed and the story-line was interesting. i am looking forward to reading the next book in this series about Swish and Dante.

Loved this book! Rebecca James is a new to me author, and I already can't wait with the rest of the books in this series.
Morgan is a 19 year old dancer, orphaned and now that also his formerly estranged older biker brother is dead, he has no one left. He has his dream of becoming a Principe Ballerino, and finds himself CEO of a company who's Board of Directors doesn't trust him.
When his late brother's actions put Morgan in danger, his MC take him in to protect him and Zeke is assigned to his security. Zeke has always been straight, hasn't he? So why does Morgan nearness affect him so much?
A rollercoster of emotion and a seemingly endless flow of troubles thrown in Morgan's way. I loved him: the guy is so resilient and trusting, probably an age thing. I liked Zeke, too, even if he was a stubborn fool sometimes.

This book was so good. It was hot and there was suspense, I just couldn't put it down. I can't remember if there was a trigger warning for sexual assault. If not, there should be.
