    Author R.B. O'Brien brings us the conclusion of her Thorne trilogy with Rose's Dark Awaking. In this last book we see things go from bad to worse for Rose and William Thorne up to the point where he finally while testing a new PA let's his feelings for Rose be known. She is over joyed but as the time grows near for Throne to go to trial for the dead that put all of them in their current situations he dose everything in his power to make sure that Rose is taken care of. And he shows it too even to the point where he confronts his former enemies along with his former girlfriend who is a monster. Even though Throne kept thinking to himself that he was one, this experience and loving Rose has shown him that he really isn't and that he has something that he never thought that he would have. This is a great book and R.B. dose make you feel for these characters. This book will also leave you wanting to read more of her work and that is a great feeling. I highly recommend this whole trilogy and keep a look out for the complete boxset when it comes out.

    This last book was written well. I don't like books with 3 sex partners. If I've known ahead of time, I wouldn't have read the trilogy at all.
    This last book forced William to decide if he wanted a committed relationship with Rose. My heart went out to Mark because he loved her so much that he gave her was whole soul and heart to make her happy, but she would only accept friendship. I felt she used him knowing how he felt about her. I truly believed he would've harmed William if he continued hurting Rose. I was happy they find out the truth regarding the fire. I don't think he would've been a sadist if the truth came out during his teenage years. I liked Jennifer's character. She was a true friend to the end.

    Wow! A stunning conclusion to the Thorne series. RB O'Brien has hit a home run. I really liked Katie's part in the story, short but tantalizing. Several OMG moments when I thought things were going to turn bad for William and Rose's relationship, then BOOM, another twist and....no spoiler here. The story from the beginning had a plot that held throughout the series and twists that I did not know were coming. I highly recommend the Thorne series to everyone interested in a D/s journey to self-acceptance and love.

    This series has left me absolutely breathless.
    I've loved the journey that I've taken with William and Rose and their love for each other. Especially the depth of that love, and how you can feel it through the words written on the page.
    It makes your heart ache when William keeps rejecting Rose and the feelings he has, because he's never felt them, and also feels that he doesn't deserve her.
    This book has twists and turns until the very end that will have you on the edge of your seat, screaming at the top of your lungs at the book at the stupid decisions that William makes throughout. In fact it'll have your emotions in a turmoil until the end, and then it takes some time to come down from them.
    This series is gripping and definitely one that I would absolutely recommend 💖💖🌟🌟

    Impressive series - well crafted, hard to put down. The main characters are complex, skillfully developed, almost real. Some of the storyline (e.g., BDSM, sadism) is way outside my comfort zone.
    Thorne and Rose's journey together? Thorne is a successful businessman, altruistic, but controlling, dark and sadistic, damaged. Surely unlovable? Beautiful Rose, on the other hand, is almost angelic - sweet, submissive, yet also strong and feisty. And a brilliant pianist. Their chemistry is undeniable, explosive. And the end... what a surprise!
