    Notwithstanding, Stiger appears to be favoured by skill, luck and his God's partiality and more than a match for the Empire"s foes and now he can lead from at its helm, whilst founding a new dynasty.

    Great stuff! The battles and logistics are described with the author's expected technical brilliance and accuracy relative to known legion tactics.

The only very minor negative it is one for other readers would be that I find some descriptions and character activities are a bit mundane and could have been left out. But I have friends who like that sort of detail.

    What an Amazing read I just finished! It's been thirty years of reading since I have read a book that had so much to teach me. If you were ever interested in Rome, maybe watched a movie or two about Rome and it's legions, and wished that you understood more about the in and outs of that famous military system, wish no longer.
    Truthfully I know less about any military, ancient or modern then will fit into a thimble, and truthfully I have never wanted or needed to know more than fits into my thimble, until now. Having just finished reading book 4 of this series I wish to thank Marc Alan Edelheit for having filled my thimble to overflowing!
    The thing is, in order to be able to fully enjoy a story it is imperative that the author do fill whatever vessel you keep your knowledge and understanding in to overflowing, fill you with enough information - no, not just enough - fill you to overflowing. Then, only then is what you are reading an event, an expansion of your knowledge, an event which you are not just reading but experiencing. It is a gift the author gives you if, when you turn the last page, you go...ahhh, ahhh...

    Tiger's Wrath opens with Stiger once again in his normal timeline. The empire is being invaded the the Cyphan Confederacy. General Treim marches south to rescue Legate Stiger on the order of the emperor.The Thirteen Legion is assembling at castle Vrell. The reserve cohort from the valley has been roused. The dwarves and gnomes have joined forces with Stiger sealing the compact. Stiger knows that the next part of his holy mission is to secure the Key from the Cyphan insuring the safety of the World Gate. Unfortunately, castle Vrelll is surrounded by the Cyphan, but that's just step one.....
    I have been eager to get any book that MAE publishes. I have never been disappointed. He has a way of bringing these books to life. This is no exception. He brings back old characters we haven't heard from in two books along with the newer ones. There are wonderful moments of light hearted fun, horror, suspense,and intense actiin. This book covers it all.

    If you are lost and don't know where to start, you actually have several choices. You can always go to MAE's website for help choosing. However ALL of the series are currently being worked on, they also drop Easter eggs in all of them. Come get lost in this universe, you will not regret it.

    Having had the opportunity to preview this one, I am honored to purchase the final copy. WOW!!! Not only does Stiger return to his own time with LEGIO XIII, he has come with allies. After the events of the past, we find Ben Stiger ready to take on the enemies of the Empire in "the present" timeframe. We have nearly non-stop action throughout and there are a few new characters to assist. <Not going to tell you...you must read for yourselves>. As LEGATE Stiger, he has risen above being a Line Officer and has become the leader he was meant to be. He finds that he must step back from the front lines of battle and leave that to those who lead their Companies. Not an easy thing for him to do. He comes to the rescue of a General he has looked up to in the past as well as several legions that were trapped in a city besieged by the enemy. How he does this and what happens next, I leave to you. I most heartedly recommend this latest chapter in the live of Ben Stiger. Oh yes....There is more to come.

    What a wonderful book!

    Just when I thought Mr. Edelheit wouldn't introduce any more races, creatures, or new twists, he springs some of them on us with this book.

    The fight scenes continue to impress. When all odds are stacked against Stiger, Mr. Edelheit has a way of letting Stiger barely emerge victorious without making it seem too easy or fake, which is really hard to do.

    Admittedly, the middle of the book dragged on a bit and it took me a few months to get through that, but the beginning and middle were awesome.

    Can't wait to read book 6. Have you seen the amazing cover?

    By the way, I really like the twist in the end of the book. I was shocked at what that meant for what would happen in the next book in this series.
