Tommy's Blind Date: A friends to lovers romance with a spicy twist! Kindle Edition
Thirty-two year old Tommy Godolphin has been on a series of blind dates, as he doesn’t want to be single any more. However, none of them really hits the spot and the latest one has proved a complete, if amusing, disaster.
When he recounts what happened to his best friend, Jacob, he expects Jacob to laugh with him as usual, but this time he doesn’t.
Instead, Jacob challenges Tommy to go out on a blind date with him, to see what, if anything, he might be doing wrong. If Tommy accepts, how will their friendship survive?
Perfect for fans of spicy friends to lovers romance!
Reviews:
"Witty, sweet AND steamy - believe me when I say I felt the passion reaching out and grabbing me solidly - in all the right places, from my Kindle." (On Top Down Under Reviews)
"A delightful and steamy short story that is close to perfection. It’s a quick, delicious bite with an incredibly hot sex scene, wonderful tension, and characters that are by turns funny and interesting. The unique British flair to Brooke’s writing is always an added bonus and this is easily one of my favourites from an author with a considerable short story backlist.” (Three Dollar Bill Reviews)
"These two men are a delight to read about, I am sure Ms. Brooke had a blast writing about them, it came through in the writing very clearly. The subtle joking, the colourful way the characters describe each other and themselves. The plain fun that goes into Tommy getting ready for this all important date had me laughing until I was crying. The way that Jacob took charge when Tommy got to the restaurant late and kept the control through the rest of the date had me panting to be his date too!" (Lyssa Reviews)

"Every single character here is unique. I couldn't stop thinking while reading this story that each and every one of them pulses with life." (MM Good Book Reviews on Maloney's Law)
"a flawlessly written, beautiful yet haunting story, at times gritty, dark and intense" (Queer Magazine Online on A Dangerous Man)
"an exceptionally well written and thrilling mystery novel. This novel grabbed a hold of me almost immediately and would not let go." (Romance Junkies Reviews on The Bones of Summer)
"a slow burning mystery woven into the ordinary lives of a close-knit group of friends. This is a great choice for readers who prefer to get to know characters well before the plot heats up. The payoff at the end is well worth the initial emotional investment." (Long and Short Reviews about Thorn in The Flesh)
"a great, laid back story with many twists to keep you laughing. The fast paced flow of the wacky story was undeniably fun. I say that if on a rainy day or just when you need to laugh in a 'The Birdcage' feel, this book is for you." (Dark Diva Reviews on Pink Champagne and Apple Juice)

- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2020Tommy works in IT and Jacob is an actor. They’re besties and besties help each other out, right? When Jacob helps Tommy out of his dating funk by suggesting that Tommy practice his skills on him things could get awkward or they get serious. Can you guess which option won out? This was predictable but also sweet.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2016This was a great little sexy friends-to-lovers story. My first from this author but it definitely won't be my last.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2017Quick but very nice read. I would have like it more if it was a bit longer so we could get to know Thomas and Jacob a bit more. But still, worth the read!

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Friends to Lovers
Tommy was on a series of blind dates, but they all sucked and he is moaning about them to his best friend,Jacob. What Jacob proposes surprises Tommy, who finally agrees to a blind date with his best friend.
Jacob, being an actor, puts on a new persona and Tommy is considering new possibilities here.
Wish this was a longer story

3.0 out of 5 stars short and hot
I would have liked to have seen more of the protagonists friendship before the blind date experiment, but the lil slice of daddy Dom we get here is pretty fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice short story I can absolutely recommend
I liked Thomas and Jacob from beginning on as well as the whole idea of a pretended blind date between best friends. The story is reasonable and written fluently. Only in the end it gets a bit … lame, though. I totally loved the HEA, but I wished there would have been more pangs of conscience or at least hesitation on Thomas’s side (since in the beginning he made the comment about the no-brainer, which Jacob said he would understand). But after all it was a sweet short story. I felt well entertained and would love to read more about their relationship – maybe in a second, third, fourth… short story.
