Total Fake (Broken Ridge Book 1) Kindle Edition
They had a plan.
Get married, grow old together and be in love forever.
As far as Ollie Knight is concerned, it doesn’t matter that they were only five years old when they made that vow.
A promise is a promise, and he's loved Paisley Nicholson since the day she was born.
But that promise was as fragile as a daisy chain.
Paisley wants more from life than the tidy, put-together world they're growing up in, and she sets out to find it.
But in the process, she loses the one person she thought would always be there for her.
When their paths cross again two years later, can Ollie and Paisley manage to heal the wounds of the past, or will their future be defined by words left unsaid?
Welcome to the world of Broken Ridge University, where second chances meet stubborn personalities, and sparks are bound to fly.
"A beautiful friends-to-enemies-to-lovers, second chance story."
"TF is a college romance/enemies-to-lovers story, well written, unputdownable. A great read, I really loved it."
"Light hearted, funny read."

About the authors
Daydreamer. Romance weaver.
Married mother of four, born and raised in England, UK, now living in Vermont, USA. D Breeze has been telling tales since the day she was born. She makes up one half of the AJ Love/D Breeze duo, and also writes under the Ellie Anne pen name.
Author of contemporary, M/M, dark, romcom and NA romance, she aims to create worlds and characters that everyone can fall in love with.
Whether you're looking for a light-hearted, funny read, or something dark and twisted, you'll find it all in the mind of D Breeze.
AJ Love - sentence maker, cool mum and proud Ravenclaw.
Born with an overactive imagination, and a tendency to day dream, AJ Love fell into writing stories from an early age. Now, as a romance author, she spends her nights making sense of the love stories in her head.
When she's not writing until the early hours of the morning--with maybe one too many gins in her--AJ spends her time chasing her wild child toddler around, and trying to get her pre-teen son to take a shower.
She also forms one half of the AJ Love and D Breeze partnership, which was born out of a mutual hate for peeling potatoes and socialising, and a love for wine, cheese and make-believe.
AJ Love crosses all sub-genres of Romance, loves her job, and aims to be sitting with her laptop well into her golden years.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2020Who knows at five who they want to spend their life with? As often happens Ollie and Paisley do not grow smoothly into the pact they made early in life. Growing pains and different personalities gets in the way of them even staying friends all the way through the growing up process. Thank goodness for good friends, second chances and strong emotional connection. Delightful story.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2020I was pulled very deep into this book. So deep, that I was feeling Oliver’s hurt and frustration for myself. That meant it was difficult for me to see Paisley as anything more than a self-centered princess. For me, being many decades removed from the ages of our leading couple, I didn’t find Paisley to be a sympathetic heroine. I admire the hard work she put into changing the direction her life was going, but it’s still my belief that she engineered a lot of her issues with Oliver. This story is all about communication and what happens when you don’t talk with the other person. Because, it wasn’t until the two of them finally hashed it all out that I was able to see that some of her behavior was the result of her interpretations of Oliver’s actions. At the end of the day, Paisley probably won’t ever be my favorite person, but I can see why Oliver loves her so much.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 2, 2020I enjoyed Paisley and Oliver's story, they've been friends for a long time, their connection was strong, they'd do anything for each other. Deep down there was stronger feelings though that have come out. They were good together.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2020Paisley and Oliver have been best friends practically since birth. When in high school, Paisley begins to rebel. This causes a rift between the two. Words are exchanged and they no longer see each other.
When they go off to the university, they bump into each other. At first, it’s all venom being spouted but then their mutual friends convince them to give it a try. The two of them land themselves in the place of finding out if they can still be friends, or possibly more.
Opinion
This is set in England and I was a bit confused about the difference between college and university, because apparently there is one (apart from size of school.). Aside from that minor confusion, the book flowed great and the multiple side stories kept it interesting.
The book did alternate between present and past. This was expertly done so that you got just enough of a back story when you needed it. I truly loved the last bit at the end from 13 years ago.
This is the first book in the series and I expect to see some of the great side characters popping up with their own stories in future books.
Great, quick read.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2021This is a super cute story but I would like to have had a little more in the end..... I like to know what happens to the characters in the long run..... Especially if there won't be another on them like in this case... Even if they are mentioned as co characters in the other books.... But would definitely recommend this as a cute quick read
- Reviewed in the United States on November 14, 2020I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters are interesting but it was his character and the emotional impact he made within the storyline that made this story enjoyable to read. I can’t wait to read more books from this author.
I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2020Oliver and Paisley promised each other they would get married when they were 5 years old. As they get older they start to drift apart until they no longer talk. Years later they see each other again in college, can they come back together to fulfill the promise from their youth?

- Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2020The first book of the Broken Bridge series by a writing duo that ticks all the boxes in a friends to enemies to so much more genre. Ollie and Paisley’s story will shatter your heart and slowly glue the pieces back together as they discover the truth in the lies. I look forward to more of the series and finding out what other characters will fall in love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommend this book. Couldn't put it down!
Well Wow, what can I say...
I've finished Total fake and absolutely loved it😍
I'm officially gutted I've finished 😭
Let's chat paisley 😊
Love her fierce determination and definitely her sassiness💁♀️😜
Her self destructiveness almost cost her everything
So happy she didn't give up and fought for what she wanted because life really is too short!
Now for Ollie😍
I'll be honest here...I wasn't a huge ollie fan at first 😅all that bitching gave me a headache🤣 but as I got further in, he definitely had reason for it! Although in paisley's defence I don't think her behaviour was meant to be as hurtful as it came across. More like feelings she didn't know how to handling so she rebelled.
Ollie grew on me more and more the further I got in
I'm definitely #teamollie 😍 but I do love paisley too!!
Looking forward to following all the characters through the Broken Ridge series 💗

4.0 out of 5 stars Good easy read!
This was my first read by both these authors and the blurb drew me in making me pre order and I can say that this is a good easy read that I managed to get through in nearly one sitting as it held my attention to keep me turning those pages!
Loved that both main characters were more or less opposites and as much as it looked like their lives were panned out for them it just didn't happen that way.
Ollie and Paisley were just meant to be.. after being childhood bestfriends to losing contact and then suddenly being at college together the rollercoaster of turmoil begins and ends with one big storm!
Look forward to the other books for the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good read!
This was the first book I've read by AJ Love and D Breeze, and it certainly won't be the last. I've loved it. It was a touch and go college romance, where both characters were miss understood for a while. I like how you get the past and the present in this book it let's you understand the characters more, and if you're like me you'll root for one character and then root for them all. I highly recommend this book. It's well written, flows perfectly, and all of the characters - primary and secondary - make the book what it is. I look forward to moving onto book 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars Floved ❤
Omg I floved this book.
Childhood besties to Enemies to lovers ❤ done oh so perfectly.
I couldn't stop reading desperate to see how it would play out, hoping and praying we would get a happy ending.
This infuriating pair will worm their way deep into your heart.
Aj and d did a sensational job co writing this book I wish I could decipher who wrote each bit but alas I was too absorbed to try and figure it out.
Excited to see how the next will play out...
Its great to have you both back ladies xx
