About the authors
Ell P is a writer, artist and coach from Bangalore, India. She has over the years studied in thirteen different schools and colleges and moved across India and Europe. With an MBA in Marketing and Finance, she makes her money coaching and training people in Leadership skills.
But really, her true passion has always been spinning a damn good yarn. Her writing career began in August, 2014 when she became an integral part of the Write Club Bangalore. An avid reader and writer since childhood, she rediscovered her calling in writing fiction when Litlatte was born, a publishing platform created by Ell P and four other writers.
Apart from publishing anthologies and books, she regularly writes for the monthly edition of Write Club Magazine.
Ell P also attempts her hand at wall art and lifesize murals through www.m-artini.com.
Varadharajan Ramesh read his first book when he was eight, an unabridged version of Oliver Twist, and has been enamored by the art of storytelling from then. His first attempt at writing was an aborted story about an explorer in the 1800’s Africa, which he wrote when he was ten. Varad wrote his first complete short story when he was thirty-five and he hasn’t looked back after that.
He self-published a collection of short stories called ‘Tales with a Twist’ in 2019 and has written a lot of stories for various online platforms. Presently, he is working on his debut novel.
Varad is an entrepreneur and lives with his wife and two boys in Bangalore.
Shankar Hosagoudar describes himself as a jack of all trades, master of procrastination. He is an Engineer turned MBA working as a Product Manager to improve India’s financial inclusivity. When he is not busy busting his backside on complex product development cycles, he reads and swims. A self-proclaimed voracious reader, he takes pride in having read than 500 books across genres.
As most kids from 90s, his first tryst into serious reading was the wizarding world created by JK Rowling. He is fascinated by a writer's power to take their readers into varied impossible worlds and journeys. He dreams of writing one such book. He started writing short stories in the year 2015 and is a contributing author of "Trail XIII: The Path to Perdition" by Hive publishers.
The Hive is a platform dedicated to publishing anthologies of short stories, a category typically underestimated by traditional publishers. We aim to bring out anthologies of short stories, every year, starting from 2020.
Being ardent readers of short stories, we also realized the dearth good anthologies out there. So, for the love of storytelling, we decided to co-create The Hive, a non – traditional publishing collective, focusing at this point only on anthologies.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2021I'll start by saying I am one of the authors in this collection, so my view is biased. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of production and editing in this anthology. The stories are varied, no two alike. There is an eloquence in lexis you would not expect considering most of the authors are using their second language. I could not pick a favourite among them, they are all such different creatures.
My own story, Insidious Thoughts, is one of my personal favourites I have written this year. It is a psychological horror that stuck with me long after I wrote it. I hope readers enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extraordinary horror tales that will keep you up in the night
Loved 13 horror stories, all different from one another. They will spook you and give you many sleepless nights.
They are not ordinary horror stories, but range from folk tales, occult, splatter and gore, psychological and haunted house. I love all the stories, though Insidious Thoughts, Naani & the Shadows, Summer Solstice, The Voice and Look into My Eyes are some I especially liked.
The Seer is full of gore, but I still enjoyed it. The same goes for The Dante House, it's a brilliant piece of writing. Mother Promise made my heart go dhaduk-dhaduk while A Legend of Truth is a great combination of myth and horror. Do check this book out. It's one of a kind.
