    This a definite must read from an author that makes me come running every time she releases another book! Trigger is a bit different than previous books, a lot more smoking hot kink, but at the root of it she delivered a story packed full of the once in a lifetime love that I have come to expect.

    Trigger is a tortured soul that doubts his self worth at every turn and when he does finally meet the one woman that makes him change his perspective, he runs scared.

    It’s been 10 years since the love of Sienna’s life walked away. She has buried her true self and found a way to live without him.

    For the first time in all those years they are face to face; now they must remind each other why they were perfect for each other once upon a time.

    This book is intense, emotional, burn your kindle hot and a story that was easy to get lost in. I can not recommend this book enough and the fact that it is a standalone makes it perfect to jump right into! Seriously do yourself a favor and get started; only if you love alpha males, strong women, intense emotion and a hefty side of not vanilla...

    Hmmm, I thought about this review for a while. This was NOTHING like I recall M. Piper ever writing like, and I think I have read most, if not all, of her books. And, I F-LOVED it! It was a little darker, a little dirtier. There was some cheating. It was a second-chance romance... but not your typical, sweet second chance romance. They meet 10 years ago in a bar and have an amazing night and go on to have an intense relationship that ends abruptly because of a lack of communication. I like the way this was written because it was written in the present with flashes back to their initial relationship and how that played out. When they met again, Sienna was engaged to be married and walked into Trigger's tattoo shop after moving to town... not knowing it was his shop. Neither one of them had gotten over the draw and intensity of the other, although they had both tried hard to move on. They start up again with the same intensity, but this time, communicating a little better than before. Trigger? Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm, he was delish! He might be my favorite character that she has ever written before. I don't like the cheating aspect, but I definitely don't discount a book because it has it in it, and you should not toss this one aside either because of it or you will miss something really special. If you have not read M. Piper yet, this would be a fantastic start, although like I have said before, this is different than what she has written previously. I hope there are more books to come in this series and more with the edge that she writes this one with. It was fantastic!

    Trigger and Sienna have an unexpected second chance after 10 years of missing each other and realizing that no one else will ever fit the same way. Trigger is into control and only Sienna knows how to give it to him as he likes it. The sexy times are mostly BDSM-pain-pleasure themed and consensual. But not always safe – Trigger does leave Sienna alone in a building while tied…..don’t know if Amazon will let more than this be said. This book had a good enough plot and characters but not particularly well written. The author flips back and forth between present day and specific experiences from the past – the transition in time is not always smooth and is disruptive to the current story. Sienna and her fiancé “cheat” on each other. Trigger’s best friend Kaden is a good guy and a true friend.

    M. Piper is a new author to me. This may be the first book I've read of hers, but it definitely will not be the last!

    Trigger is flawed in all the right ways. Sienna is too. They had a brief time together, then split up for 10 years. When they run into each other again a decade later, they are living very different lives. The sparks fly and they get their happily ever after in the end.

    This book has angst, anger, hurt, but most importantly passion. It is red hot!!!!
