    Having read the previous books in this series, I wasn't expecting the depth of writing that is in this book. It captivated me so much that I finished it in two days. The depth of Tristan as a human is written so we'll that my own heart ached for him. I have never seen a character written so deeply and passionately that I felt I could see his soul. His deep love reminded me of my deep and quick love for my husband. The details she wrote are so vivid I could picture him and his woodworking in my mind. This is by far the best book of this series. I did not want it to end. But I am so happy for Tristan, it actually filled my heart with bliss and made me smile. Read this series, just to get to this book. Because the character development throughout of Tristan was stunning.

There's a depth and intensity to him with his brooding and contemplative nature. He's not much of a talker and he prefers solitude. He has loved Anna from afar for 6 years now. She was married to a guy who didn't even deserve her or appreciate her. But now that she's single again, it would seem that Tristan's first move would be to capitalize on her new status. No, instead he befriended her first. I loved reading both Anna and Tristan's POV, because everyone knew how Tristan felt, except Anna. Yet she's not oblivious to Tristan's loyal and attentive qualities and they work well as a team for a project they are collaborating on. However, Anna is completely unaware of how strong Tristan's feelings run. And I practically swooned and melted over how much Tristan adored Anna, noticing every detail about her and falling in love with her even more. I also enjoyed seeing Anna spring back to life with more vibrancy and emotion than she had in such a long time. Both of these people are so well portrayed in this book, I felt everything alongside them. The combo of unrequited love, a slow burn and friends to lovers really hits the heart in the right spot. Definitely a great couple to end the series with.

    Tristan, the final book in the Bachelors of the Ridge series does not disappoint. A slow burn romance, with a friends to lovers twist that makes you want to read until your eyes are blurry.

    Throughout the series, we have watched Tristan brood and love Anna from afar, never saying much and never doing anything to push her even if he sees how unhappy she is in her lifeless marriage. For him, every interaction with Anna is difficult because what can you really do when you fall in love with someone only to find out that they are married? You stay quiet, hide your true feelings and hope one day that the world does you a favor and sets them free, even when all your friends don’t understand how you live this way.

    For Anna, when fate finally intervenes and she finds herself newly single after a dull marriage, she reluctantly jumps into online dating with lackluster results. But all the while, she begins to build a strong friendship with her brothers friend Tristan, who steps up when she needs him the most for a high profile work client. As their friendship grows, Anna finds herself cherishing the rare smiles and laughs she gets from Tristan, wondering what it is about this man that draws her in.

    I really enjoyed the slower pace of this book in the series, fitting to the style of the characters love story perfectly. Every touch, interaction and rare smile made me want to keep reading to see when they would finally connect in the way they were meant to be.

    Reading slow burn romances takes patience and when done right it gives the reader the most satisfying build up of emotions. I loved Anna’s character in this book, taking charge of her love life and finding out that the quiet ones sometimes are hiding the best secrets of all.

The writing and plot were perfect. The pace was slower than the other books that Karla has done in the past but it only added to the entire reading experience. This was my favorite of all the books Karla has done in the past. I was instantly drawn to Tristian the quite outsider who loved Anna from afar. His character is bruiting, strong willed, gorgeous and loves with every fiber of his being. His is the ultimate Alpha. I swear he stole my heart after only a few chapters. Anna is a beautiful old soul that just wants to be loved for who she is. Not just the everyday love but the earth shattering love that consumes you. These two together are off the charts hot and one couple that with stick with you. This amazing love story is going to be a tough act to follow but if anyone can do it Karla can. I cannot wait to see what journey she takes on next. I guarantee there will be a whirl win of emotions sweeping us off of our feet.

    I’m sighing because this series has drawn to a close. But what a close! This book is everything that it deserves to be.

    Tristan is such a complex character, so deeply hidden throughout this series that I wondered how easy this story would be to tell. I need not have worried. Slowly, slowly, his character was revealed, layer by layer, in a way that felt organic and natural.

    I thought it would be difficult to reconcile unrequited love and a married character, but that’s because I’m not a writer. This whole book was just SO well written, I feel like I’m gushing. I probably am.

    Although the books can be read as standalones, do yourself the ultimate favour and read the series in order. By the time you arrive here, hopefully you’ll get the same feelings as I did. All of them.

Everyone in her group of friends thought she should have left him years ago because he just didnt seem to bother with her when they were together. Tristan was part of that group and for the past six years he had wanted her after their first meet. Their friends knew how he felt about her but he always managed to keep his feelings to himself until she told him she had left her husband and then he wanted to make sure he did everything right and not to rush her. He wanted her for keeps.
