What I loved and adored most about Drew was that she had an attitude where you know she's real and honest! Who knew that being with the wrong man would lead you to the right one? One night at a private sex club called Church, and we're introduced to our sexy, alpha, dirty talking hero. Dominic King. Mr. Business Owner Extraordinaire.     This is my very first Trilina Pucci book but after reading it, I know I am a huge fan. This story was so sinfully good and decadently enchanting that I couldn't put it down. The hint of danger and the heavy dose of scorching heat just made it irresistible to my bookworm heart. And it doesn't hurt that King is the perfect combination of forbidden fruit and dangerous alpha bad boy that can melt your panties with his addictive gaze.

    Drew captured my attention from the very start. The strength she shows in escaping her abusive relationship is simply admirable. But she only finds her real self again, once she captures King's interest. And though their attraction and even feelings are practically instant, the story is written in such a way, that it actually makes you believe in instant connection.

    Of course, Drew and King's relationship is not a walk in the park. Drew's fear of trusting herself again and King's stubbornness nearly destroy what they have, but in the end, as they say, love conquers all :D Of course, there are few more obstacles on their way, but they only strengthen their relationship and love for each other.

    I would actually compare this book to the Mount Trilogy or the Savage Trilogy by Meghan March. It has exactly the same forbidden feel to it and the same scorching heat factor :D So if you are a fan of Meghan, I am pretty sure you would love Truth as well. As for me, I can't wait to get my hands on Worship, the second book in the series and to find out what happens with Drew's best friend and King's brother :D

    Insta ❤️ for Drew and King. I liked the storyline. Drew is a strong woman who learns to stand up for herself. King just wants to make her happy and watch her shine. My only issue was when they made her ex crawl to Drew and then what King did after Drew left the room. It just felt icky. I thought that Drew handled Nick well when they had their last interaction at their shared home. This just felt like she was stooping to his level and made her and King no better than Nick. I get it, though. King is a man who doesn't allow disrespect and wants to teach him a lesson.

    Truth by Trilina Pucci, the first in her Sinful series, and my first read by this author and loved it! I was riveted from the start and stayed that way all the way to the end. This story was steamy and erotic and full of crazy chemistry.

    Drew Matthews has worked very hard to be where she is today in her career. But her personal life has been lacking. She left a bad relationship that left her in a bad place and not ready to start anything new. Dominic King worked hard to build his empire and his favorite, Church, a sex club, is where he first Drew. Their attraction is immediate and their chemistry off the charts. They spend one night living out their fantasy and though they both know what is between them is so much more, choices are made that may tear them apart.

    Truth by Trilina Pucci was a great read and I look forward to reading so much more from both the author and this series. The story was so freaking steamy and with strong characters. Dominic was sexy, strong and very determined. Drew, as the story progressed, was feisty and just as strong.

    When Truth worked for me, it really worked. In the moments it didn’t, I was still invested enough in the story to keep pushing through. The plotting was good; it was some of the characterizations and editing that left something on the table, for me.

    My very favorite part of Truth was the juxtaposition of the two relationships Drew experiences. They served to show the difference in someone exerting control over a person for their own satisfaction and giving up power to someone because you trust them and they will only use that control to empower you. So often control-exchange novels don’t have the first example to highlight the differences and can come across differently than intended. I felt like having the emotionally abusive relationship with Nick touched on at the beginning of the book really helped to enhance how supportive and mutually satisfying the relationship with Dominic was.

    For all the things that didn’t quite work for me in Truth, I still found the premise and plot fascinating and was invested in making sure Drew and Dominic found their happily ever after. Ms. Pucci also made the supporting characters and the world she’s begun building in this series compelling enough I am eagerly anticipating the next book in the series.

    My first wish for Truth would be another editing pass. There weren’t a ton of issues, but there were some minor grammatical issues and several instances of stilted dialogue and descriptions. I also felt the characters had some serious problems with consistency. Their personalities and voices seemed all over the place, and it made it hard for me to fully connect with them since I had no idea who they were going to be in the next scene.

    Truth is the first book in Trilina Pucci’s Sinful series. These books are slated to be interconnected standalones, as far as I can tell. I believe there will be an overarching storyline that will make more sense if the series is read in order, but each couple’s story seems to be contained in a single novel. Truth is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Drew and Dominic.

    I really need to find some new synonyms, but I devoured this book. All sense of time and place evaporated as I was transported within the pages of Drew and Dominic’s story. It consumed me. I didn’t know where to look on occasion and felt the want to apologise *sings* Awk-ward *snorts*

    Told in dual POV, we get to experience all the highs and lows that goes with this story. You know what’s coming, don’t you? *points finger* Yup, you’ve guessed it - I laughed, cried, swooned, had more hot-flashes than I could count, and to top it all off, swore like a trooper *hangs head* What can I say? Potty mouth, thy name is Laura *giggles*

    One final (cryptic) thought - I have never wanted to go to church so much in my life *winks*

    My truth is simple - this story left me breathless.
