Tapping the Billionaire: Billionaire Bad Boys (#1) Kindle Edition

New York Times & USA Today Best Seller

Georgia Cummings has zero luck with dating, and the era of the internet is not her friend.

In what alternate universe have men decided d*ck pics are a replacement for small talk and getting to know a girl? Seriously. One more crotch selfie and she might write men off for good.

Except her billionaire boss, Kline Brooks, might just be hot enough to make her reconsider. Dark hair, muscles for days, and a panty-dropping smile make him the quintessential bad boy. Only—he isn’t.

As an actual nice guy with a list of ethics a mile long, he knows a boss hooking up with his employee is
never a good idea.

Too bad fate doesn’t give a you-know-what about his ethics.

Disclaimer:
If you HATE laughing, this book isn’t for you. But…if you enjoy a good swoon, a hearty laugh, witty banter, and some hot as f*@% f*@%ing, then consider Georgia Cummings your Girl Friday and Kline Brooks your next irresistible book boyfriend.

Hilarious and heartfelt with tons of swoon worthy moments!
I have a ton of Max and Monroe’s books on my TBR and after reading Kline and Georgia’s story, I am kicking my own hump for not this devouring sooner.Georgia is my spirit animal thru and thru. She’s headstrong, intelligent, hilarious, and an over thinker. I adore her to no end and love how she gracefully (and not so gracefully) handled every single situation…and understands just how important snack time is at work.Kline is a dream come true as a boss and an even bigger dream when it comes to more…he wasn’t nicknamed B.D.B for nothing. I adore how grounded he is, his patience and kindness…and that dirty mouth of his is to die for. I love the lengths he goes to, to prove his love and devotion to his Benny.I am completely head over heels in love with how this talented pair of queens wrote this. They succeeded at me laugh so hard that my husband actually ended up reading it with me. The banter between Kline and Georgia is fantastic but they didn’t stop there - the banter that happened with the side characters Cass, Wes, Dean and Thatch is just as good and I love that.Max and Monroe created a story with just as much humor as it has spice and heartfelt moments. I devoured it with a smile so big that it made my face hurt and heart melt. I loved every single word! I will definitely be reading more of their works this year without hesitation.

I don't know who these Max Monroe authors really are, but they are more than a gimmick to sell books. They have some real talent for telling hysterical stories while keeping the reader engaged and delightfully turning the pages.

This book had been sitting on my kindle since release day. I have been seeing people talking about it and most were positive and glowing remarks. I can't say why it took me so long to actually pick it up and devour it, but I won't be making that mistake again with the remainder of the series. Shame on me.

Kline Brooks is the owner of Brooks Media, and a billionaire... hello! Georgia Cummings is a marketing director and she works for Brooks Media. So... Kline is her boss! While this concept isn't new... what I found refreshing was how Kline was described as the owner of his business -- respects his employees, avoids any kind of contact that could be construed as sexual harassment, and keeps his eyes to himself.

With that being said, I was a little surprised he backed off from his ideals when his mother tried to set him up with a less than desired date for a charity benefit. To get out of it, he sought out Georgia to be a replacement. She had been working for the company for 2 years and he never noticed her... that must be some awesome blinders and amazing self-restraint considering how the rest of the book goes.

Regardless of that, I loved the rest of the book. The writing was effortless and breezy. Their first date goes down in history as one of the most memorable first dates I've read about in a romance novel. Seriously, I could not stop laughing and bringing my palm to my forehead. It was so over the top, but it solidified just how swoonworthy Kline Brooks is as the hero.

Another thing I loved about our billionaire hero... he doesn't flaunt his money around like other billionaire hero's we know (yes, I'm talking to you Mr. Grey). He's not extravagant in his living arrangements or his "toys"... he's down to Earth and was raised to be a man of integrity. Maybe that isn't believable to some people (hello, if I had billions, you better believe I'd buy a huge house and a decent ride), but I found it endearing, charming and one of the many reasons I fell in love with him.

What I loved most about Georgia is that she is a real girl. She's confident and tough as nails when she needs to be, but deep down she has moments of insecurity, but doesn't let them take over how she portrays herself to others. Sometimes when you're reading a romance novel, heroine's come across as unrealistic. I just sit there and wonder how on Earth a woman would do some of the things they get away with in real life. Not one time did I feel that way about Georgia. That was so refreshing.

The twist in the book was rather obvious, but it wasn't exactly executed how I anticipated, which was interesting. Despite the predictable twist, it wasn't drawn out or ridiculous. In fact, I think it was perfect, just right, exactly what it needed to be.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a light read that will literally make you laugh out loud, swoon and fall in love. Definitely a top read of 2016 for me!

Rating: 4 You’ve Got Mail Stars

The book, just another cover with a washboard guy. There were very few errors but nothing that could make want to pull my hair out.

The story, Georgia has been working with Kline for 2 years and they have never looked at each other, they just think they are humans and that’s it. So when Kline needs a date to stop his mom, he sees Georgia for the first time and that is when the fun starts. I had so much fun reading this book. I laughed out loud way too many times and I wanted them to be my new best friends. It reminded me a lot of the movie, you’ve got mail, sweet, funny, a little angst BUT with spontaneous combustion scenes! It was predictable, he lied, she finds out, gets mad, he wins her back, the live HEA, the end. And that is why this is not a 5 star book for me, I expected more than the obvious. And that scene that gives her the nickname “Benny”, just absolutely hilarious. Also I loved that for once both main characters have stable good parents, this is the first book I’ve read that doesn’t have a horrible past (yeiiiii!) No cliffhanger.

The romance, Totally believable, I loved that it wasn’t insta-love, that they actually dated (that’s never happened before!), and sometimes time will pass by (the timeline wasn’t just a few days overall). No triangle, thankfully.

Georgia, funny, adventurous, strong, smart, and at times predictable. I really disliked the drama and the way it was handled.

Kline, funny, protective, super smart, a man who knows his feelings, and a man who thinks he knows best. When will a lie of that magnitude not end up in flames and with collateral damage? It was too predictable and in my opinion he took too much time apologizing even though he was preparing his apology. And the apology wasn’t enough in my opinion and it looked too fantastical.

Overall, did I like the book? Yes, I did. It was fun reading it. Would I recommend the book? Definitely.

I can't breathe, I have laughed so hard. I have no words. This is the wackiest, most irreverent combination of sexy and sarcastic. I love Kline and Georgia and I couldn't even really tell you why. They're just so real. I feel like I could run into either of them on the street. During a couple of scenes, I would have sworn I'd already met them. There are some phrases in here that I'm going to pull out and cherish for the rest of forever because they're just so funny and perfect. (The Christopher Columbus line is probably my favorite.) The secondary cast are so colorful and ran away with story several times. I am so looking forward to the rest of this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kline Brooks is definitely "some kind of wonderful"!!
Reviewed in Brazil on October 2, 2017
I've been wanting to read this series for a while now, and it was so worth the wait!! This is the first book by Max Monroe I read and, oh boy, did I love it?? This book was everything!

A sweet, amazing, can't-put-the-book-down romcom and so so so sexy! It was a misture of office romance with a modern version of You've Got Mail. It was light, relaxing, hot, swoony and it made me fall in love really hard!

Georgia is amazing. She is strong, competent, loving, funny, she is a sweet silly girl at the same time she is fierce and independent. She stands up for herself and she knows her values. She knows her limits and respects them despite what society thinks. That was so important to me. She comes from a loving and crazy family and I loved their interactions.

Kline is...I'm wordless! He is respectful, hard worker, caring, loving, romantic, funny, laid-back, he knows how to enjoy things and he knows how to be great at anything that he does. He is someone you want to keep around for so many reasons. He is fair and adorable. At each word, page, chapter I fell more in love with him.
He knew Georgia's limits and he respected them too. He was so perfect with all his mistakes, I kept wishing time and time again that he was real!

"My heart in your hands and you in my arms, that's all I'll ever need"
Together they were explosive! Their love was so pure and their chemistry was off the charts! Not even once I doubted their feelings in any form! I felt them so intensely, I felt them phisically even!
They did everything to make the other one fell safe, loved, cherished. They were a couple, a team, they were more than two people, they were ONE!

"What am I gonna do with you?"
    "Keep me."
"What am I gonna do with me? So lost in you."
    "Stay there."

Seriously, I can't seem to find enough words to tell how much I loved this book!

And another point I found so amazing: the best friends! More often than I like, I have a thing against best friends in books. They are not just meddlers. They are disrespectful in a subtle (and dangerous) way. They think that the title of "best friends" give them all the rights they need to force decisions in you even if you dont want or feel comfortable with them!

But not Cassie nor Thatch! They were the real best friends! They were there with all the support, the love, the advices and amazingly: with respect!

The characters from this book was so well written and its writting was so convincing, it was hard to put the book down!

I want more Max Monroe. I want more billionaires. I want more Kline Matthew Brooks!
