Twin Savage: A Reverse Harem Novel Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 258 ratings

It wasn't a problem to be the only girl in a house full of guys.
Until my fiancé died and his identical twin took over the roost.

Sweet, easygoing Julian passed, while loathsome, bossy Luka, who pays his way through med school by getting his dick wet on film, is still alive.

What kind of twisted reality is this?

Now, Luka’s on a mission to fix both of our grief.
Like I’d ever accept anything from him.
He doesn’t understand that gorgeous and sexy mean nothing if you’re a promiscuous jerk.

If only the nights didn’t destroy me.
They’re painful and long and empty,
until, on a Monday night, my insomnia attracts Diego.
That Tuesday, it attracts Lenny.
Next, it’s Marlon, James, Nathaniel,
and on Saturday, it’s Connor.

By Sunday night, I get the picture.
This is Luka doing what Luka does: solve problems with sex.
His remote-controlled comfort leaves me in our roommates’ arms six of seven nights.
On Sunday, there’s only one man left in the house.

There’s no way in hell I’m opening my door—or my heart—to a porn star.

WARNING: The term REVERSE HAREM refers to a new subgenre of romance novels in which multiple heroes fall for the same heroine. This subgenre is still under development. If you expect the heroine to end up in a happily-ever-after with all of these heroes at once, this is not the book for you. As always when it comes to my novels: expect the unexpected and ENJOY THE RIDE. ;-)

About the Author

Sunniva Dee is a reader, a lover of everything beautifully written no matter the genre. As an author, she pens flawed characters and seeks the flip side where the soul hides. Once there, she wants to be pulled out of her comfort zone by stories taking on a life of their own. Sunniva has written paranormal and young adult. She's committed contemporary romance verging on erotica, and she's dabbled in supernatural mystery. But her heart is rooted in new adult of the true kind: young adult all grown up, with conflicts and passions that are familiar to college-aged readers and readers who remember those days like they happened last night.

Sunniva Dee is a USA Today and Amazon top 100 bestselling author with an eclectic taste in books. Born and raised in Norway, Sunniva lived in the United States for 17 years before returning to the mothership. She currently dwells at the midst of a glittering Nordic winter, where she sucks inspiration from trolls and barn gnomes and cold little mermaids popping their heads out of the fjords. Oh, and Spotify. Always Spotify.

Sunniva dabbles in literary romance, romantic comedy, contemporary romance, young adult fiction, new adult fiction, dark romance, and paranormal. Unlike some authors, she was not raised by fairies, and unlike others, she’s not also a musician. But she boasts a ridiculous sense of humor and an obsession with furry mammals, both evident in the #1 bestseller, the rom-com LOVE BY PRANKS. Genius! Mother Crunkin Genius! (mic drop) 😉 Review to follow after I let this digest a bit. OMG, favorite book, so far!

    UPDATED REVIEW:
Sunniva Dee is brilliant when it comes to writing a book. Her hugely effective use of hidden meaning, double meaning and writing parallels is flipping fantastic! After reading Twin Savage, she is definitely one of my instant and do not hesitate one click authors!

Twin Savage is written so well that you lose sight of the fact that it is part of the ‘Porn Star Boyfriend’ series. It is SO much more than a guy being a porn star. She writes these characters with so much depth, so much emotion that you honestly feel as if you’re part of the group and storyline. It just sucks you in (on such a good way). There was no ‘fluff’ in this porn star book (pardon the pun.)

Her symbolism and ability to switch between colloquial and educated verbiage is utterly outstanding! Besides reading a fantastic book, I learned a thing or two. Kudos to Miss Dee for doing her research on topics and characters discussed.

I think in modern day western culture it is considered taboo to talk about one girl with seven guys, but this is written so well that you can slip into Geneva’s shoes as she explores other cultures and customs related to grief.

Geneva is an anthropology PhD student who had big plans to travel to Africa and the Amazon with her fiancee, Julian. Unfortunately, she finds herself a widow before they even get to the alter. For the past six years, she has lived at ‘the Queen’ with Julian and seven other guys (all as scrumptious and delicious as the next). One of the roommates is Julian’s twin brother, Luka.

Luka is a medical student who is about to enter his last semester before residency. In order to get through med school without loans, he is in fact a porn star god. However, there is so much behind his pretty exterior that you truly must read the book to see what makes him tick and why he does what he does. When I found out, it made him so much more real and freaking human. (Insert sigh).

Geneva and Luka are truly just incredible together. It’s amazing to read about the full transformation of a relationship and to be able to see parallels within your own life or something you might have read (I.e. how a relationship should work versus how they do work). There are ups and downs, misunderstandings, conflict, among other issues.

Twin Savage is a scintillating, hot and sexy, angsty romantic comedic drama. PLEASE do yourselves a favor and one-click this book. It is utterly fantastic!

“I love you, Geneva. You love me. So why wouldn’t it be us?”
    “It should be us, right?”
“I think it has to be us.”

Just from reading the blurb alone I knew that I was in for something special. A Sunniva Dee special to be more precise. Cause reading a Sunniva Dee book is never just a story. There’s a deeper meaning to it and their characters.
I have to be honest and say that the blurb left me a little apprehensive. Those feelings were still present at 20% but then I slowly started to catch on where the talented Sunniva Dee was going with the story. From that point on I was fully invested and immersed in the story and with Geneva and Luka.

Twin Savage is so much more than a romance. It deals with very important topics like death, grief and sexuality. How Sunniva Dee weaves them into the story and how they influence Geneva and Luka is effortlessly depicted. I was so intrigued with Geneva’s choices and her reaction to them that left me wanting more and needing answers for her behavior and those choices. I got those answers and it was not only fascinating but also written with an authenticity that made me appreciate the story even more.

I enjoyed Geneva and the seven Fratters that she lived with. They each had their own personality and brought something different to the story and out of Geneva. She and Luka was dealing with the death of Julian who was Geneva’s fiancé and Luka’s twin brother.
Grief is dealt with differently from person to person and Geneva is very afflicted and so is Luka but doesn’t show it that obviously. How he chooses to help or ease some of Geneva’s pain is an important part of the story. I came full circle along with Geneva and Luke the further I got in the story.

Now that I’m finished with Twin Savage I’m still amazed by the depth of the story and how different and unique it is. I was questioning Geneva a lot but my faith in Sunniva Dee never wavered. Twin Savage isn’t another porn star book. No, this is about real life topics and how we choose to deal and react to them. Sunniva Dee made me think and question those topics and choices that were made. Definitely worth reading because of its message and unique storyline.

    Five Stars!

I had no Idea where this book would lead me. I loved the heck out of this story and it’s one of the most original books I have ever read. It’s a little dark, a little taboo (by our cultural standards) and whole lot smart. It’s really hard to describe but if I could compare Sunniva to any other authors, I would say Tarryn Fisher. She has that crazy in her books like Tarryn and each and every one of Sunniva’s books are very unique, there is not one in the same. The characters aren’t perfect and most of them have a lot of flaws, they are complex and sometimes not the easiest to like.

This book was brilliant; the writing was on point, the storyline…crazy. This has been my favorite book yet by Sunniva. The way Sunniva ties in the story with what the heroine is going through and researching was such an interesting concept and made for one hell of a ride. Did I like what the heroine did? Did I understand her? Did I like what the hero wan involved with? Did I understand him? I have to say I went back and forth numerous times asking myself this. In some cases yes and in some cases no. It all left me very conflicted and questioning everything. I need that when I read, normal is boring and this book is anything but.

If you want something predictable in a romance novel this is not the book for you, but if you want raw, smart, and complex characters with a little humor added then you need to read this. Everyone grieves differently, how would you be able to move on after losing your fiancé and seeing his twin every day? How would you get comfort? No one really knows, right? Not until it happens to them.

I usually have quotes and things highlighted but I’m not going to do that this time in my review. I think you need to go into this blind. I kind of wish I had.

    I highly recommend!

Geneva has lost her fiancé, Luka has lost his twin. in a house of grief, the boys take an unusual approach to help Geneva heal, whilst she refuses to let Luka in as she disapproves of his career choice.

This book was not at all what I expected, not gratuitous sex scenes just for the sake of it, but a slow realisation of feelings beyond the grief. Although there are sneak peaks into the porn star aspect of things, there was a depth to this story and these characters that drew me in. It was expanded with the trip to the Jungle and their immersion in another culture, and the comparisons of greiving.

I particularly loved the sneaky inclusion of Limelight from Alyson Santos' books - love a sneaky crossover.

I gave this 4.5 stars and I look forward to reading more of Sunniva's writing!

I'm in the fence with this one. I don't know if I liked Genevas life mirroring her studies. As for Julian there's so much more there! What was he into? Luka was life really so tough!
    Not sure 🤔 about it.

    I loved this book!

This book captivated me from the blurb! This book took me on a journey, and also taught me a few lessons of life.

This book involves grief, and the stages of grief, and how people deal with it differently. I loved Luka’s character, and how he turned Geneva’s world upside down. He was made for Geneva, she just didn’t know it.

I loved everything about Twin Savage. It was an excellent read, and for my first read of this author’s, I was not disappointed.

This book is a must read! For all you out there, read this book. It will not disappoint.
