JUSTICE
I’m more than happy in my life. The bakery I own with my sisters is doing well, I have a best friend who knows all my secrets and I’m content with a string of satisfying, short-lived partners in my past. It might not land me on the naughty list, but there’s only one thing I want that I haven’t grabbed ahold of with both hands. A baby.

I’m more than fine with the thought of becoming a mother without a permanent man in my life. Who needs one anyway? I know my value and none of the guys in my past have been worth more than a good time. The only guy who can keep up with me is my best friend, Corbin, and he has a wake of broken hearts behind him just like I do.

This Christmas I’m inspired to go after what I really want with no apologies. I’m not interested in a stranger’s DNA, but Corbin has a lot to offer when it comes to a baby daddy. I’m a little surprised by how seriously he’s taking the whole thing, but I’m not looking for a commitment. So, how does my heart get involved?

I’ve been good keeping my relationships with women superficial and fleeting. Why would I need anything deeper when I have Justice for all the emotional stuff? She gets me and doesn’t judge me for not being interested in more than a night or two with a woman.

    Im a sucker for friends-to-lovers and relationships (or babies) of convenience. I got two of my favorite tropes combined in one book and I loved it. Great build up and plot progression. It may have taken them a while to figure it out, but the reason none of their relationships worked out it because they weren’t with the right person. Sometimes it takes the right moment for you to see what’s in front of you all along.

    What a good concept, to own what you want and your actions. I love how this novella takes that concept, molds it into a fun and hot story and presents it in such an easy, flowing way. If we, as women, don’t ask for what we want, do we expect that the people (men especially) will read our minds? I think not.

    I enjoyed Corbin and Justice’s friends to lovers baby making romance. Corbin and Justice have been best friends since they were in high school. They are both relationship averse and get their emotional support from each other. But when Justice asks Corbin to donate sperm so she can have a child, he experiences a tectonic shift in how he sees her. Then it’s a fun, sexy, and swoony journey to their HEA. The story included sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, supportive family and friends, and all the love. Despite being short, the story was well written and included witty dialogue, fairly well developed characters, and an engaging storyline.

This is a well written story which is a sweet and quick read, with family, friendships, emotions, romance, humor, witty banter, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner.
    I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

    First time reading Ember Davi’s books, Two pink lines for Christmas was a lovely Christmas romance that found friends help each other and you find out how thing materialise not giving anything away otherwise it will ruin it for you. The main characters had chemistry but I got a little frustrated with Justice character at times Corbin every women needs one 4⭐️
