4-stars: 'Sweet Sinner' by Lisa Renee Jones

4-stars: 'Sweet Sinner' by Lisa Renee Jones
Forewarning, readers should read Bastard Boss before reading Sweet Sinner because of the cliffhanger and how Sweet Sinner picks up from where the first book ended. Yes, the second book also leaves readers with a cliffhanger, so you must read this trilogy in order. **Potential Spoilers in my review if you have not read the first book in the trilogy.** Tyler is dealing with his father from the grave with the will his father left behind and the stipulations of keeping the company and having his trust. The issue is he has to marry, and there’s only one woman he wants, but she is persistent in not giving in to Tyler’s commands, especially when Tyler is her boss. Bella is determined to keep it professional between her and Tyler, but Tyler won’t give up. I like Bella’s character and how she continually fights with Tyler about her decision not to marry him. She’s all about her job, and she’s amazing at her job, and Tyler knows it. She does give in to Tyler a few times, and it’s steamy when they get together. I will admit I loved the push and pull between the characters but did find it sometimes repetitive. It’s obvious how they feel one another, but Tyler is friggin’ difficult, and Bella is the one who seems to remember they are boss and employee. Tyler is still an a-hole MMC, especially when it’s the only way to express himself. He did have an a-hole of a father who made his life difficult. I understand his character better, especially when it comes to his relationship with his father and previous lovers. I give him props that he’s fighting back regarding his father dictating his life. My issue is with his lawyer, Gavin, pushing him to marry women from a list he created; one of those women is Tyler’s secretary. There’s a scene between the secretary and Tyler, and I liked how Tyler handled it, but it did cause an issue between him and Bella. However, Bella did put Tyler through something with a potential client but not as bad as what she walked in on with his secretary. Tyler is very jealous and won’t let anyone get in the way of him pursuing Bella. Lisa Renee Jones does leave readers hanging with another cliffhanger, and this time it involves Tyler’s board members. Did it leave me wanting more? Yes, it did, and I know Lisa will deliver a HEA for Tyler and Bella in a way they deserve. Here’s hoping their employer/employee relationship remains in tack, and I expect to read even more steamy scenes between the two. (Tyler is the one who takes charge when he’s in the bedroom.) All thanks to Lisa Renee Jones, I will forever be in my Lisa Renee Jones Era and will always love her books, even if she keeps leaving me with these crazy cliffhangers. Story Rating: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Steam/Spice: 🌶 🌶 .5 Single/Dual POV: Dual POV. Would I recommend this book? Yes. If you enjoy the tropes Boss/Employee and Forbidden and don’t mind cliffhangers, this trilogy may be for you. Lisa Renee Jones really is a master of her craft. She has few equals when it comes to setting the stage for events yet to unfold. by building the suspense, intrigue and drama The tension buildup between Bella and Tyler almost singes the pages. Despite the depth of her anger over his clumsy attempt to protect her, she cannot discount her growing feelings for him. When he finally pulls his head out and truly examines his feelings for Bella he realizes that he's loved her for years. After receiving some sage advice from two unexpected sources she finally gives into what's always been there. She and Tyler join forces to find a loophole in the will but both have the feeling there's more to the will than meets the eye. There's something nefarious afoot and it partially plays out in the last chapter. Beware though, the book ends in a cliffhanger so you'll have to patiently or impatiently wait for the final book in the trilogy.

Sweet Sinner is a wonderful read. Must be read in series order since this is book 2. Tyler and Bella are back and only getting hotter. You feel the pull and you feel the hesitation when it comes to how Bella and Tyler's relationship goes on. This will pull you in and will not let go. Tyler and Bella are fantastic as they work through their relationship and Tyler's fathers will. Not all is revealed yet when it comes to Tyler's late father and the cliffhanger leaves you wanting to know more. I cannot wait to see what happens with Tyler and Bella as everything comes out.

First of all I have never read anything by this author and I wasn't disappointed! Second I couldn't seem to be able to leave a review on book one both are together. Bella is a very strong, independent women, she wants to make her way on her merit. Tyler the more he digs in his late father stuff the more he gets twist and turns and doesn't seen to get anywhere.Tyler falls for Bella but she doesn't think it is wise since they both work together that they hang out but he trys to change he mind, things go haywire, people are acting weird or disappearing and who to trust!Tyler and Bella do finally hookup but Bella disappeared! Can't want for book three!

I hate that this book 📚📖 ended the way it did because I knew it had a cliffhanger, just not the way I thought 🤔 it would end. I have to let you know that Bella and Tyler are trying to make a go of it but there are forces working against them. That father of Tyler's, Jack Hawk, just can't let his son alone, even though he is dead. So I have to let you know a good Lisa Renee Jones series is definitely brewing and I am sure book 3 will be awesome 😎. This is not just a good read it was great 💯.

I am so in love with Tyler and Belle, oh and her new pup Molly! This series is definitely hard to put down!!

All that Tyler and Molly have to work through, with their feelings, their past and now Tyler’s father’s will, cannot keep them away from each other! Of course, Bella tried to stay away, but fails.

When things finally seem to be working out, things go awry and it ends on a massive cliffhanger!! I need the next book NOW!!!

This book picks up where the first left off. We watch Bella navigate her feelings for Tyler and his proposition. This book has a bit of everything chemistry, mystery, twists and turns. This really kept my attention. I read this book and book 1 in one sitting. I cannot wait to read the next book when it comes out in a couple of days. I really want answers and to see them get their HEA.

Yes there is a clip hanger in the book but it wasn't as anti-climatic as the other series that she has written.

I honestly started to get annoyed with the repetition and the books. It went from Bella's point of view of the story to repeating it as Tyler's point of view of the story. But a lot of it was constant repetition of them talking to each other. The story also continuously talked about the contracts and how Bella didn't want to be one of his little whores.

I normally love reading Lisa Renee Jones books but I honestly feel like this book was just a long read into a final and wrap up of the series.

I really enjoyed this book and I thought it was better than Bastard Boss, but maybe I am just more invested now. This is a fast read because you want to find out what happens. Just as Bella and Tyler reach a happy place in their relationship and with Bella’s family everything seems to be derailing but we have to wait for the conclusion to find out what is going on and I can’t wait.

Tyler's father might be dead but he is still causing him issues from the grave. Bella and Tyler are realising that the chemistry between them is real and has been building since they first met 5 years ago, but his dad has left him in a bind with his will will Tyler be able to solve the puzzle before it is too late

OMG this cliffhanger leave you wanting more, it’s literally finished at the juicy bit! Tyler is still trying to figure out what the Will is all about and wondering if there’s another part of the puzzle. Bella takes advice from others regarding the contract. Brill book, can’t wait for the next one
