Unfinished Business: Bastards of Boston MC Book 1 Kindle Edition
As president of the MC, it’s Rocker’s responsibility to keep his club safe, be the smartest man in the room, and ten steps ahead of everyone. He’d give everything he had, sell his soul to the devil, to protect those he loves.
Until he comes face-to-face with the pain he thought he’d buried. Old wounds are ripped open, revenge consumes him. Nothing else matters.
He calls me his angel, but the halo I wear caught fire a long time ago. There is no line I won’t cross, no law I won’t break to save him. If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, I’ll happily burn.
When past and present collide, we’re in for one hell of a bumpy ride.

About the author

Carina Adams, a USA Today Best Selling Author and Amazon Top 100 Best Seller, is an avid reader who loves the epic and unconventional, has an unhealthy obsession with Stanley Tucci, loves the sounds of Johnny Cash, is the crazy friend your mom warned you about, has a heart and soul as black as the coffee she drinks, and believes she’ll go through the stones and find Jamie Fraser.
Carina has been writing and creating characters for as long as she can remember, allowing her to fall in love with the next man of her dreams with every new story. None of which are anything like boring Prince Charming.
Thankfully, fate stepped in and granted her the ultimate wish—a life full of men. Carina lives in a tiny Maine town with her biker-turned-businessman husband who keeps her on her toes and their two heathens who made her realize that wicked chicks do, indeed, lay deviled eggs.
Carina is currently working on two novels: Echoes of Us, the final installment of the Dreams Trilogy and 'Stones' a heartbreakingly beautiful tale of second chance love.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2017Rocker and Cris have a long and complicated history. The book opens in the present day, but really most of it is spent in the 15 years prior. We get to see a young Rocker and Chris and how they didn't really get along as teenagers. They both brought out the worst in the other and it led to a lot of crappy situations between them. When they finally realized their true feelings for each other, their path still was not smooth. Rocker was an alpha biker who sometimes lost his way in communicating with Cris. Cris was no better and did a crap job of sharing what really happened with Dale he did to torment her.make excuses. I thought her mother (and father) should have been held accountable for some of what she went through and found myself disappointed in their behavior many times in this book. Her mother should have owned her part in Cris' traumatic past and not tried to shove it under the rug. She let a demon into their lives and I thought she needed to own up to that. Cris had a lot of pent up anger and bitterness that came out in many bad ways that made me really feel for her. Both Cris and Rocker were able to find solace with Liam and I was happy that they were able to have that. There was quite a bit of angst in this book but it worked. I wanted to strangle both Cris and Rock at points for being so stubborn and not really understanding what a relationship between 2 people took. Jessie was a brat for most of this book and I really felt Rocker should have put her in her place long before her attempts to make Cris question Rocker and their relationship. He really did have issues in letting her know what was going on and seemed to think nothing of making up excuses as to why he didn't let her know some things. I didn't blame Cris for what transpired between them over the years as she felt that was what she needed to do. Neither one seemed to be able to let the other in fully and that was never going to work until they both went all in. I liked how the book tied things up for them and was glad to see all of the MC brothers moving on with their lives. A good addition to the series and a great second-chance love story.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2017This is my first time reading anything by Mrs. Adams and anything from the Bastards of Bostons. This book follows Rob and Cris. I will say that this book starts in the present and than most of it is spent in the past, giving us a nice background to the characters. Than returns to the present to end the story.
Robby/Rob, aka Rocker....... I really liked him and felt for him. He hasn't had the easy-ists past and has had the burden of losing his daughter resting on his shoulders for most of his life. I really liked being able to get underneath the harsh tough exterior and find out what he's really like.
Oh Cris..... I went back and forth on her. I have to say I did feel for her and everything she had been through. I think that with everything she had been through made her have a slightly skewed view on the world and made her angry, very very angry. I understand where her anger came from, but at other times I felt like it was blown way out of proportion.
I want to say that overall this book was very enjoyable. I thought that this book was real and raw. It wasn't your basic everything is roses story. This book showed real issues and how hard it is to overcome them. This book was about healing and forgiveness in ones shelf. And maybe finding forgiveness in others. I did have a few issues with this book, I felt at times that the anger Rob and Cris had towards each other was blown out of proportion. And at times I felt it took from the story line. I also felt like at times that other issues in the story line were glossed over and than thrown back in at the end and just very quickly resolved. Other than that as I said above I really enjoyed this book.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!
***I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book for my honest opinion***
- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2017Passionate, gritty, and emotionally gripping! Carina Adams returns to her writing roots and delivers one heck a phenomenal story! MC baby!!! I knew Rocker's story would rock my world, but what I didn't realize was that it would turn it upside down- over and over again. Holy emotionally crippling baggage, batman! That was one INTENSE ride! And because it's Rocker I'd take that ride over and over again *wink*
'You can run with the lies from your past. But you can't hide from the truth forever.'
Unfinished Business is a book that will stick with you long after you've read the last page. The journey that Rocker and Cris have been on; emotionally, physically, mentally- is definitely one that will stick with you. Abuse, heart-ache, many obstacles to endure and overcome, while they've survived, they're not left without scars and reminders of the battles they've fought and won.
'The need to protect her was pure instinct. One damaged person shielding another. I'd move heaven and hell to make sure she was safe.'
This book is one that I couldn't read fast enough, yet couldn't read slow enough. Absorbed and completely drawn into the story, I breathed and lived every emotional facet of the story line. Carina Adams has outdone herself with his book and has blown my mind! Hands down my top fave work of hers to date!
A must read of 2017! It's powerful and raw! Don't miss out on this B*s#ards of Boston MC!!

4.0 out of 5 stars good
I did like the story line, very gritty, the only thing I was disappointed about was it seemed to gloss over what I would have wanted to read about ! All start, middle, chunks missing then a quick end. Looking forward to reading the next book.

From a troubled teen comes a strong woman. Accused of lying in the past the truth comes out and brings a whole tangled web.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for me

Maybe I wasn't in the right mindset for an MC romance buy I just could not get into this book. There seemed to be things happening that I should have known about but couldn't connect the dots and the characters were just always angry at each other. Every interaction between any of the characters seemed to be in anger.
It wasn't attracting me to the plot or the characters development. I did try to stick it out just to see what happened to the daughter but even that couldn't keep my attention for the rest of the book. I had high hopes but I just had to give up.
