    The author names the universe (which has been estimated to have 2 trillion galaxy's in it.). That is a lot of Milky Ways. When she should have used Galaxy which is only estimated to have 100 thousand millions of stars in it. Maybe in 5000 years we might be able to flit around in our own galaxy (Milky Way) but I think traveling millions to billions of light years to visit another galaxy would be inconceivable in any future. I did notice she mentioned "Galaxy" several times. But universe is to much. Other than that is was a pretty good story line and I enjoyed it.

    Universe in Flames Mega Boxset is quite the surprise when the Star Alliance world develops into something much more than simply military SciFi. It is a complex world where Greek Olympians like Zeus, Ares, Aphrodite and Athena are very much alive, not as gods but a long lived advanced race not wanting to be involved with human race any more.
    Yes, there are aliens as well, lizzardlike ones. And insectlike. And the very big Droxians. And AI's. And Furies.
    Amongst this mixed lot it is a half Fury, Chace, that becomes the main character as a long brewing war between the Star Alliance and the Obsidian Empire Obsidian Empire starts to escalate in such a way that is aimed squarely and the total annihilation of all in the Star alliance.
    This is their story. Action packed. Twisty. And fun. Even a little romance on the side too.
    But an immersive one hat will make you a hermit. At least, til you turned the last page.

    I purchased this set and started to read it. It soon became the novels I could not put down. I had my nose in this every moment I had to read a few more pages. Christian is a great author. He is also a great world builder. He took the norm and expanded it past the expected. For some reason I have had a difficult time following a large cast of characters. BUt in Christian's novels he was able to keep everyone in line so I could keep up with everyone. Christian took me to such different worlds and well past what would be normal. He blew out the edges of what a reader could expect for the next page. I had such joy in reading this. My only bad I could offer is at some point Christian's series will have to end. I can't see him adding more and more novels to this series into his 80s.

    Having read your 10 novel set I am now on to reading the next novel in the series.

    Kallias does today what no other author seems capable of achieving, he puts you right into every scene, battle, confrontation and conversation that takes place in this series. I have read all the books individually when they were first released and the re-write and 'blending that Kallias has done in this series is extraordinary! I say this in all honesty because I thought they were perfect when I read them originally and couldn't understand how he could improve them, but he did and Iam eternally thankful for his efforts.
    Chase faces many challenges to keep Earth safe and in the discovery of his own past. How he deals with these challenges is both profound and completely over the top in combat tactics!
    If you never read anything again, please read Universe in Flames - Ultimate 10 Book Box Set. After reading this I guarantee that you will become as avid a fan as the rest of us!

    This series was riveting. It did have well developed characters with story arches to help the story along. There are some themes in this series which have notes to multiple SyFy shows and cult followings. during the readings of course being a fan of the genre, I was able to visualize the story into pictures in my mind. Elements of Battle Star, Babilon V, Stargate, Battleship, and Star Wars among a few. These similarities in Technologies were not lost in the descriptions used in the books.
    That said, the stories are well developed and stand well against the backdrop of Greek and Viking Lore. Ancient civilizations developing worlds and leaving to their own demise only to come full force with other ancient races friend and foe bringing war the universe. An easy read once started is difficult to put down, and the pictures placed in your mind are phenomenal to say the least. This writer has a great voice, and this series should go to film and or series in Prime (of course in Bazos will grant the funds).

Non-stop action and space battles with high tech systems and resources. The overlay of a "god" presence is unobtrusive and fits the plot perfectly. I can usually predict the ending for series like this (and that is usually a good thing) but this one was a pleasant conclusion to an extended adventure.
