Cloverleigh Farms is one of my favorite series by one of my favorite authors. I have been so excited to get Sylvia's story because I can so relate to her as a single divorced mom.
Sylvia was married to a total douche bag and has a broken heart because she trusted her husband when he said he loved her. Unfortunately not only is Sylvia broken but so are her 2 kids. Henry works at Cloverleigh Farms and is newly divorced as well with his wife leaving him. Neither are looking for love after being hurt in their past marriages but when they are around each other the chemistry is so strong that they can't deny or ignore it. Not only do they have chemistry but they just have this connection that you long for. I love when they get together and talk and learn each other. I love their banter, their friendship and how sweet they are together and how this friendship is just what they both need. Sylvia is a single mom though and her kids are just broken and scared.
Henry, Henry, Henry! I could say so much about him. He's all alpha but yet he has a kindness and sweetness to him that will have you swooning. He's smart and oh so HOT!!! When they give in to their connection, the spark ignites into a total fire. Henry won me over many times in this book but when he fought for her and tried to show her that he cared was the best! *swoon*
This story is just so beautiful and heartfelt and literally is one of my all time favorites. I had many favorite quotes and sayings in this book. Some of course would give away too much like how you get to the title of the book. One that is a favorite that just describes both Sylvia and Henry perfectly is "I missed the life I thought I would have". Boy did this ring home for me. As you can probably tell I'm a single mom as well and I miss that life I thought I'd have so I can so relate to this book. Unfortunately for me, I've never found a Henry. LOL!
I'm so glad they both got a second chance and found each other. Get ready for an AMAZING second chance story and new beginnings for a wonderful couple.

Melanie Harlow delivers a beautiful story about healing and moving on after heartache and I clung to each word like it was my lifeline.The chemistry between Sylvia and Henry was undeniable and explosive once they gave in to it. Given their pasts, they definitely had some hurdles to overcome and they didn't always have the best timing, but Henry's not the type of man that's easily deterred:“You’re going to let me stick around. And you’re going to let me love you, and prove to you that we can build something so real and so strong, it’s unbreakable.”I loved catching up with all the other characters in the series and couldn't be happier for the way things worked out for Sylvia & Henry! And OH.MY.GOD. the April backstory tidbit we got has me beyond excited for the next & final installment in this absolutely fantastic series. ❤
