Uncomplicated (Inked Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 1,817 ratings

Two men with a rocky history, and one with an all-consuming love for both of them. Sometimes I’m so lonely I swear I can’t breathe. I bring men and women into my bed to chase away the ache, but it never seems to help. I want something real, something lasting, but I’ve never been more afraid of anything in my life. If I have nothing else in my life I can count on, at least I have my best friend, Cas. If I have nothing else in my life that feels solid, at least I have Cas. Until one sad smile from a beautiful man tilts my world on its axis. But Finn is Cas’ ex, and that means he’s off limits, right? What if I could have something permanent, if I’m willing to put my heart on the line? Finn and Cas may have a history, but something tells me the three of us could have a future, if we’re willing to let things get a little complicated. **This is a MMM spin-off of the HEATHENS INK series and there ARE appearances by your favorite Heathens Ink characters. However it CAN be read as a stand alone.

K.M. Neuhold is a complete romance junkie. bisexual and polyamorous, she often describes herself as being in love with love. She loves to write stories full of bearded, cinnamon roll men who get super swoony HEAs. Her philosophy is there’s so much angst and sadness for LGBT characters in media, all she wants is to give them the happiest happily ever afters she can with little angst, tons of humor, and SO MUCH STEAM. K.M. fully admits to her tendencies of making sure every side character has a full backstory that will likely always lead to every book turning into a series or spin-off. When she's not writing she's a lion tamer, an astronaut, and a superhero...just kidding, she's likely watching Netflix and snuggling with her huskies while her amazing husband brings her coffee.

What an amazing read this book is. Friends with benefits Cas and Beau truely love each other but both are afraid to tell each other, whilst Cas is away training Beau meets Finn and they have a few weeks of being together that is until Cas returns and realizes that Finn was someone else he knew years ago. Can these three make a go of it together. An amazing read.

Cas and Beau are roommates with benefits. They are in love with each other but think as long as they don’t ever say it they will be safe from hurt. They aren’t exclusive and have had threesomes before. Beau hates to be alone so when Cas goes away for a month he is miserable.

Finn has spent time in jail and his life pretty much sucks. Beau gets him a job bartending and since Cas is gone Beau invites Finn to his bed. They both know as soon as Cas comes home their time together will be done. When Cas returns problems abound and the three men will just have to uncomplicate the situation if they want to be together.

It seems like I’ve been waiting for Cas and Beau’s story forever. Then Finn gets thrown into the mix and I knew it was going to be epic. I wasn’t disappointed. Each man was uncertain that the relationship would work. But as issues arise they learn that trusting each other is the most important thing (except maybe for ice cream).

This author brings her men to life and it’s such a joy to discover each individual personality. And glimpses of the Heathens Ink crew is most welcome too.

    ***Spoilers here and there***

I loved that Cas gave Finn another chance. Because you could tell that Finn wanted to be and continue being around Beau. But out of respect for Cas and Beau relationship. He chose to respect them and not continue on doing anything with Beau.

Even if he was fighting his feelings with CAs as well! Because he cared and still loved CAs as well. Not only that CAs still cared for Finn too but had a hard time showing it in the beginning but he learned to show more feelings once everything that went down with Finn and the Cobra’s.

But with that situation Shiv was one bitter hating a-word dude because he couldn’t let things go all because of Finn preference. I wanted to know if he was going to jail for what he did. Would like to know if Ice and his Crew didn’t care about why or who put Shiv in jail because brought that on himself!

But in the end everything turn out good for both Finn and Beau. Cas and Finn! And all three of them!

    Cas, Beau, and Finn

This is such a good series, well, both series, Heathens Ink and Inked. I did go by the reading order suggested by the author. So I guess I'm just gonna give them all this same review since it was nine titles. I probably should have written each review once I was done with each one, but I was just too excited to get started on the next couples story. Definitely recommend reading them all!

This was a good book by KM Neuhold. There were a few parts that made me want to knock the characters’ heads together (mostly Beau and Finn). At 60% I was starting to wonder if they were ever going to get it together and I’m happy to say they did. A few parts were anticlimactic for me. It felt like they had a huge build up or the potential to be MORE then it just fell flat. Although Cas made me want to knock him in the head once or twice he was my favorite of the 3 guys. I would recommend it, especially if you’re already invested in these characters like I am!

KM Neuhold is just amazing! This story actually focused on the emotions of the ménage relationship, which is rare. There was plenty of heat but the realistic portrayal of the feelings of Beau, Cas and Finn captivated me! Finn had a dark past that wouldn’t let him go, Beau was a beautiful man with abandonment issues and Cas was a cop with a hero complex. Cas and Finn had a past that left them wary. I won’t say more but this is an excellent book that should not be missed! This book can definitely be read as a stand-alone but is much better if read in conjunction with the Heathen’s Ink series and Unraveled (Inked Book 1)!

I have loved the combined series, but this one was hands down my least favorite. So much boring angst, half way through I started skim reading because I no longer cared. Nash, Royal, and Zade were a WAY more interesting throuple. I had high hopes from the glimpses of Beau and Cas in prior books, but definitely a letdown.
I’m really hoping Liam and Owen and their plus one get a more lively story.

K.M. Neuhold somehow manages to make all her characters individual and no two stories are the same.

Uncomplicated focuses on Beau and Cas - both of whom we’ve met before in the Heathens Ink series and introduces Finn (who links to the other characters through Owen and Clay).

All three men have a past that has hurt them, and they’re not sure how to work through it. Can the three of them together face down their pasts and their fears and let their love blossom or will their pasts get in the way.

K.M. Neuhold had me in tears with their story - once again creating characters that I cared about when reading their book. She is a truly talented author and Uncomplicated is another must read from her!

Finally Beau, the always flirty, sexy bartender and his best friend/roommate get their HEA. Feels like I have been waiting for Beau and Cas’ story for awhile, it totally was worthwhile. Even better it was a lovely escape from the lockdown we are all under because of Covid 19. I just wish there were more books in this world, there isn’t enough.
Highly enjoyable read and Finn is the perfect fit for these two men.
