Wanted: Understanding Daddy (Love On Tap: Fragile Hearts Book 3) Kindle Edition
Is it possible for a renewed friendship to lead to more?
Dylan’s life changed for the worse back in middle school. Because of that, he ghosted his best friend, Brett, out of fear and embarrassment. Now, as things finally come together for him, he’s more concerned with earning a place back in Brett’s life than he is about finding the Daddy his friends think he needs. What’s an Understanding Daddy, anyway?
Brett feels like he’s been waiting a lifetime to find out why his childhood bestie walked away from him. The more time they spend together, the clearer it becomes that he doesn’t have to understand what happened. All that matters is now.
As Brett’s feelings morph into something brand new, something special, will Dylan believe that he’d truly like to be his Daddy or will he let the past hinder what should have always been?
Welcome to another heartwarming story from The Tap Tavern where the Daddies are helping this chosen family of boys discover how beautiful they are.
* This book contains references to past childhood abuse. If this is a trigger, please put your emotional and mental health first. Love Sammi

About the author

Sammi Cee was raised in a family of readers. Summer vacations consisted of a good book while sitting lakeside from as far back as she could remember. After growing up and having her own children, her appreciation of how the written word could transport you on an adventure, bring you to tears, or give you hope, took on a whole new meaning.
These days Sammi is watching her children develop into fine young ladies while doing the things she enjoys most: drinking coffee, eating chocolate, and writing her own stories.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2022This was a wonderful book. I really enjoyed Brett and Dylan together. These two were best friends at one point but Dylan pushed Brett away. When Dylan and Brett finally start to talk and work through their past together, these two realize that they are perfect together even though there is some drama on their way to an HEA. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I received a free e-book copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2025It was interesting that Brett was getting tired of the way his life is going that his friend introduced him to the idea of being a “daddy”. Brett and Dylan have a past as children and it takes a while for them to deal with this. But those month are time for both men to be open to new possibilities. I also like see friends from previous books in this series and from The Takoda Outreach series which I loved as well.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2022Ok I loved the first two books and novella of this series and so I was excited for Dylan’s story, however nothing could have prepared me for just how much I absolutely adored this book! I stayed up till 1am to finish it lol
This whole book is truly about love and understanding, the growth that we see from Brett and Dylan as individuals and then as a couple is absolutely awesome. I also loved getting to see more of Archie who is an adorable bean who needs all the cuddles, and his dads. And now I need to go read the Takoda Outreach books lol
1000% recommend this book that left me feeling warm and happy.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2022Dylan ghosted Brett years ago and to now constantly he him at the bar/tavern he works at was a little unnerving. All Brett wants to know is why it happened but, he's afraid to ask and all he gets is strange looks or no looks from Dylan. But, fate had other plans. When a rude and aggressive customer goes after Dylan, Brett immediately stepped in and that gave both of them a chance to talk. What started off with walks in the park with his dog Brett was slowly realising that he didn't just want his friend back he wanted more.Dylan was next on the board with a sign looking for an understanding Daddy, but after spending time with Brett he wanted him too. When Brett found out that they may have found a daddy for Dylan it not only rubbed him the wrong way, it made him accept the person his friend had been telling he was a Daddy. If he wanted his chance he had to let his feelings known and that what he did on their first official date, the rest is history. I'm really enjoying this series, these Daddies and boys are great!!😍😍😍
- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2023Once Dylan and Brett get past their old lives and sort out some problems they are just as sweet as can be. A few different twists and a good story.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2022What a hope filled story! I loved that Dylan had pulled himself up and was working on his life, but I loved more that Brett knew how to support and take care of him, and that he wanted to! Two successful men were better together, and that made the story. The fact that Dylan endured abuse, and still found a good life was handled well, I thought, and just made me root for him more. Plus a great HEA, and a peek forward to the next book!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2022My book stops at location 1300 which is not the end of the book so check this before you start or you’ll be asking for a refund, but even more importantly, you’ll be dealing with the annoyance of the story just getting good between the MCs, then nothing. The story was fine until the not-ending let-down.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2023I really love this whole series, each book is unique and special. The characters and their relationships are beautifully done and each couple is uniquely perfect. I cannot recommend this series enough.

4.0 out of 5 stars uplifting romance with friends to family
Awwww so sweet and lovely, just the kind of pick me up I needed today. Great characters and lots of heart and feelings, plus walkers with a gorgeous girl. Love this group of friends and they way they look out for each other. I’m eagerly awaiting the next instalment. Easy, delightful read. Comforting like hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows on a stormy night.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another great read for the series!
This was another sweet read for this series. This book was a bit of a second-chance-romance, even though Brett and Ryder hadn't admitted their teenage feelings to the other before they lost contact. I loved seeing them work through those feelings, open up and admit it to the other, and seeing how well they both fit together. Once again, we have a Daddy/boy relationship that was unique and fit the couple beautifully. Look forward to reading more in the series.
