    Lucien was the only male vampire that survived the illness that killed everyone else. He’s been alone it seems forever until he goes to Club Eternal and sees Katrina. She’s a human that is pretending to be a vampire and he’s intrigued. They talk and he tells her that he knows her secret. Then there is a murder! Who is it and why? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

    A nice little story with a murder to beef up the plot line which was unexpected. I think the story had a lot of merit on its own without the murder but that's just me. And the age old adage of human falling for a vampire or vice versa is still a good read.

    I felt the story was rushed in places and could have benefitted from a re-read. Some of the sentences didn't make sense and it felt hurried or skimmed in places.

    But overall a nice little read with a bit of murderous adventure thrown in.

    Katrine is a human pretending to be a vampire. Lucien is the last remaining male vampire masquerading as a human. They are naturally drawn to each other but the murder of human makes everything more complicated. What is going on in the city? The last vampire attack was 30 years ago could the new body be connected? Will the star crossed couple be able to be together?
