Unspoken Words is the most beautiful romance that I’ve read in 2019.

The story of Eloise Mitchell and Connor Bourke is swoon-worthy, tragic and witty. They start as unlikely friends and quickly become high school sweethearts.

Ellie is witty and unique and I absolutely loved her character. The way she works with words is an art form and I loved what she wrote in her special notebook.

Connor Bourke is a talented musician who has some demons in his past that he has problems handling. When he meets Ellie for the first time, he doesn’t quite know how to react to her unique style.

KM Golland is the only author who can get me to laugh and cry all at the same time! There were so many passages in this book that truly spoke to me that I was highlighting like a madwoman (P.S. I NEVER highlight!)

Everyone needs to read this book!

Ellie. Phew! And Conner!?!? And then add Lilah?? How will they all survive?

Ellie and Conner together is like chocolate and peanut butter. You know that they were meant for each other. It’s fact. Yet, you’ll be gutted before you reach part two. All the little details that end up being so very many things that go wrong and drastically change the story. I did not see this one coming. I really didn’t. Bravo Kelly. Bravo.

So so many layers. Fabulous characters. Fantastic scenes.
Just all around great book. Highly recommend.

There were times where I felt it dragged and sometimes Ellie and Connor both annoyed the hell out of me. But I realised that was because they were too young.

I haven't had my heart broken so much from a book. But in the best way, I cried, I laughed and I smiled. Golland wove a magical story, which I couldn't put down and stayed with me for days after the last word. This was my first from Golland and I plan to one click her other titles now. If you love ugly cry reads then this book is for you.

Good writing. Enjoyed the story. Liked how we saw the love grow through the years. But unfortunately the biggest issue I had was the female main character. By the time she reached teen aged, I couldn't stand her. And she only got worse for me. I found her self centered and creating drama for no reason. I will admit that everything that happened was very realistic and accurate to how a lot of females think/act. Which as a female drives me crazy!

I did get choked up at the ending. But not because what happened to her but for him! I felt bad & sad for him. She made her decision and didn't listen to anyone. He was left to just deal with her decision .

Having read almost all of Kelly's books and loved them, for me this was a completely new K.M. Golland and I absolutely LOVED this story of a second chance love. As usual this book is wonderfully written, flowed perfectly and literally overflowed with emotion. This is an all out full on love story at it's best.

Connor and Ellie's story is one that will capture your heart. Meeting as teenagers they became best friends and then lovers and then separated. It's the part where they try to connect again that is so addictive and time consuming; everything around you slows to a halt because nothing else matters but finding out where these two people will end up and what could possibly happen between them if anything at all. Every character is totally relatable and so interesting to get to know, even the ones I wasn't too keen on.
Was I frustrated with Connor and Ellie at times, oh boy you bet I was, many a time I wanted to bang their heads together. There were so many times this couple had me on the edge of my seat I lost count.

Definitely a slow burn to start off this story but soon it ramps up to give you the story of all love stories - commitment, devotion, true love, family and loyalty. Will you need tissues, yes of course and remember, that's life, we laugh, we cry and you will do plenty of both with this book and maybe a little ( LOT) of swooning over Connor. This book is everything and more, personally I think Kelly has excelled herself with this beautiful story and I only hope she writes more like this. Phenomenal !!

This was an amazing, beautifully crafted novel full of heartwrenching drama, raw passion and love. I can't begin to put into words how much I loved this book. I completely understand the struggle that K.M went through in writing this book, as it tore my heart out and had tears streaming down my cheeks many times. But it also swelled with love, for not only Ellie and Connor, but it shows the love between family members and parents love of their children above anything else. This is not a light, fluffy or even a full-on steamy romance book, but a life literature novel, a drama that rivals a Nicholas Spark novel with more heart and not a Hollywood ending.
If you're after a happy ever after, then don't read this book, but if you want a book that will stay with you long after you've closed the last page then pick this one up and be prepared to have your heart smashed, put back together and smashed all over again.
Despite that, I absolutely loved this book, because it was different from any book I've read by K.M Golland and in general.
A fabulous read! And definitely a top read of 2019!

The highs send you into a world of euphoria, the lows send you into depression but you come out of it all with a true sense of what love really is. The ride is raw but emotionally complete.
