Elena Simmons was a young werewolf living in a town called Wolfsby where her pack, called the Midnight Wolves pack, was running the town.
When she was only 16 years old, she felt her destined mate die, leaving a hollow space in her heart, so as soon as Elena became old enough to go to college, she left Wolfsby to study Art and Literature.
Scott O’Brien, a young future Alpha of the Midnight Wolves pack. He grew up with Elena and her brother Richard, making it difficult for Elena to bring home any boyfriend to meet her parents, who loved and respected Scott, so they compared any other male to him.
One day, Elena received a call from her parents, asked by them to return for Scott’s ceremony to celebrate such an important event. She saw it as a great opportunity for her family to meet her boyfriend; the only problem was that Ryan Patterson was known as a troublemaker, coming from a neighbor pack, the RedRowe pack.
Elena wanted desperately to make her parents change their opinion of Ryan, so she came up with a plan to make her parents fall in love with Ryan.
Only that plan involved the young, future Alpha, Scott.

    Oh wow this was an amazing book. I love Amanda’s books. I’m so happy a friend of mine recommended her to me. This story revolves around werewolf shifters. The main characters are Elena , Richard , Scott , Ryan , and Emma Jo. Richard and Elena are siblings. Scott is Richard’s best friend and the three of them grew up together. Elena and Ryan are dating and so is Scott and Emma Jo. I do t want to give to much away.but this was a really good read. You need to read this is was fantastic

    Unusual Agreement, by Amanda Steel, is a sweet love story. Elena, the female main character lost her true mate at an early age. Determined not to try to find her second chance mate, Elena falls for Ryan, the future alpha of a rival pack. Scott, the future alpha of her own pack is the best friend of her brother Richard as well as one of her best friends from her childhood. Elena encourages Scott to pursue Emma Jo, wanting him to be as happy as she and Ryan are.
    Follow the budding relationships and see how this happily ever after story ends. Will the 2 packs unite in an alliance? Are second chance mates even a possibility? Read Unusual Agreement and see what develops!

    The story itself was fine, although I guessed from the start what was going to happen between the two main secondary characters. It’s just in need of editing as some word choices were incorrect (such as fastened for quickened and than for then) and some phrasing was awkward and tenses were at times incorrect. Reading the about the author section I learned that the author’s Croatian, so perhaps English is not one of her primary languages. Nothing a little editing can’t fix, as she does have story telling ability.

    I love Amanda Steel's stories, always original and fun to read. This one is a standalone, a slow burn with a huge plot twist half way through that kept me wondering what the ending would be; I mean, when all the characters are such nice people it is not as easy to pick "the one".

    I loved all the characters for the heroine, she got me so mad LOL, not because she was a bad one, but because some of her decisions were rather questionable.

    Anyways, if you like a good romance story with some interesting plot twists, some hot werewolves and an intriguing world, this book is for you.

    Absolutely adored this story! I loved all the characters and the growth they had with each other!

    The author will have you loving and wanting to scream at Elena and her choices. (lol) Elena had heartbreak at such a young age and once returning home will face a difficult choice. Will love and the mate bond conquer or will she stay with her long time Alpha boyfriend and become his Luna? You’ll have to read to find out.

    Even with this being a standalone I do hope it will eventually become a series with the other characters ♥️
