    I really enjoyed this story. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. I was a little confused about first but I caught on. This is definitely different from what Nichole normally writes but I enjoyed it and I am looking forward to the next story. Plz don’t do a threesome with the Faes. Mad 😠. I kind of got that feeling I hope I am wrong.

    Dax and Rissa’s story pulls you right in. Rissa she is being kidnapped by a Forsaken. Dax has an immediate reaction to her, even before he sees her, he can feel her emotions. Dax and Rissa had a strong bond and I loved them together but even more I loved the dynamic between all the characters. Rissa really accepts Dax as her soul-bound when they are attacked I loved the Norse mythology elements. The whole plot is wonderful and the side characters are fantastic! I kept wanting more and now I can’t WAIT for the next one!

    As usual, I adored this, because Nichole writes amazing stories!! This is proof of it. Rissa and Dax are the most realistic and relatable mythical beings I've ever read about. The only problem I had with the whole book was that evil cliffhanger! If I'd had known, I'd have waited to read the whole series when it was finished. I guess it just gives more reasons to reread the book again!

    I love everything about Nichole Rose's books. I didn't care for this one only because it wasn't my cup of tea. I found it too confusing with the different languages and I'm not big on supernatural love. I know that there was a glossary in the front, but I know I won't go back to see what each one means. I hate writing bad reviews on books only because I find them unfair. What I don't like, someone else may love and I would hate to deter anyone from reading this for themselves. Please read and I hope you enjoy!.

    We get something different from the wonderful author Nichole Rose. A fantasy novel from Norse mythology and what a great start of the series.

    Dax is a Fae, protector of Valkyrie was trapped on earth with his brothers. A prophecy that they have to find 5 Valkyrie had them going to a bar where he found Rissa. Rissa is one of the Valkyrie they were looking for.

    This first book explains the start of Rissa and Dax love story and the fight to protect the Valkyrie and the souls of the dead. Can’t say more otherwise it will spoil the story. Looking forward to the next book.
