Vampire Heretic (The Immortal Knight Chronicles Book 5) Kindle Edition
AD 1440, Brittany. Scores of children have gone missing from the countryside around Nantes. The commoners know who is to blame. But they dare not speak up, for they suspect their very own lord, the Marshal of France and Lieutenant-General of Brittany, the Baron Gilles de Rais.
As Richard investigates the monstrous crimes, he is haunted by the recent crushing defeats at the hands of an insane French peasant girl called Joan of Arc.
But what is the strange connection between the Maiden of Orléans and the depraved Baron de Rais? Richard hates her for what she has done to the armies of England but was she ultimately just another victim of the evil lord?
To discover the truth, Richard must investigate the sinister tales of demon summoning, odious heresies, and sadistic murders while confronting his own catastrophic failures in the wars against the inspired armies of France.
The Immortal Knight Chronicles:
1. Vampire Crusader: Richard the Lionheart and the Third Crusade
2. Vampire Outlaw: King John and the Invasion of England

I write action-packed sci-fi and historical fantasy. I want to immerse readers in another time and place and for my stories to be gripping adventures. You should love my complex heroes and hate the twisted bad guys.
If you like the sound of that then check out; GODS OF BRONZE (my new historical fantasy series), THE IMMORTAL KNIGHT CHRONICLES (bestselling historical fantasy) and the GALACTIC ARENA series (smart military scifi).

A truly evil vampire. A murderer of young children. A man of tremendous power and influence. The creator of a young French peasant girl remembered in history as Joan of Arc. - Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe best part of each book in this series is they are each a book alone. Start with book one then two....etc. The back story is always there but each book is its own adventure. Leading to a finale that is coming. But the main character, no matter his possibility, is a good man.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Real Twist In The Tale.
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWell book gives just finished and I can't wait for book six. Dans onto a real winner with these series of books which I can highly recommend to anyone who likes there type. In this one, Richard comes face to face with, (of all people) Joan Of Arc and so the tale takes many twists and turns along the way till it reaches its ultimate conclusion. Having turned to the books last page, I doubted Dans next book could be any better till I looked and saw who he's paired Richards off against next!! O.M.G., now that will be a battle to end them all. Who is it? Like me, but the book and find out.
