When Brenna is taken hostage by a forbidding Viking intent on using her to procure a safe place for him and his friends to stay, she knows she should be afraid. Not intrigued, not fascinated, and most certainly not aroused.

Björn cannot afford to trust the vexing little Saxon who caused him to be beaten to within an inch of his life. He will keep her captive for as long as he needs, release her when she has served her purpose and not fall under her charm in the meantime. At least, that is the plan...

Burning desire will come to throw everything into disarray. Björn and Brenna should never have fallen for each other, however, they will have no choice but to surrender to what they feel. Which is all very well... until a shocking secret is revealed.

Publisher's Note: This steamy historical romance contains elements of power exchange.

First off, (my pet peeve) the cover did not depict any way shape or form of Bjorn the large, blond long hair man with braids and beard. The first book of this series cover would have been perfect for this book.
Now for this emotional deeply passionate story of a Vikings captive Brenna, and Bjorn who is a powerful man with a need to control and dominate without letting his feelings show. The plot is mostly about
their desires and intimate times which there are many.
At one point the story took a completely shocking turn and had me a bit confused but that was soon remedied, and things really turned around for Bjorn and Brenna's relationship.
I did enjoy the story and it moves at a fast pace. Many intimate adult scenes that were well written by this author whom I had not read before. I would be glad to read more of her stories.
    Cover D-
    Passion: Very High
    Plot: Very Good

This is the first book i've read by this author. There is good character development and a good, flowing story. There are a lot of twists and turns there. I could have done without the kinky sex scenes though, I'm just not into that. I wish today's authors would describe a sex scene with out being gross about it. All in all, I think it was worth the buy.....would like to read another story by this author.

This book is adventurous, romantic, and definitely steamy at times! Whenever I picked up "The Viking's Captive", I felt like I traveled back to the Early Medieval Era, and could see everything happening before my eyes.

The characters felt very real, and also grew throughout the novel. There were quite a few twists and turns that I did not see coming AT ALL! My mouth definitely dropped a few times.

If you love historical fiction and / or historical romance, I definitely recommend this book. I could not wait to see chapter after chapter what happened next in the story.

Brenna is the captive of a fierce Viking, Bjorn. They need each other to survive, but are enemies until that line begins to change. Fast-paced with action, adventure, steam and drama. A very intriguing historical, Viking romance that transports you back to that time.

Overall, well written and entertaining. Book 2 in the series but can be read as a standalone.

I read "The Viking's Captive" after having read "Slave to the Dane" and i found it better than the previous one.

This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. Brenna is taken hostage and sparks are flying between her and her captive. What will happen when they fall for each other? Will Bjorn able to let her go once she has served her purpose? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, emotion and steamy. I liked it.
