Villain Era: A Dark Mafia Romance (Sinners and Angels) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 5,843 ratings

He was once our enemy, but now he's my bodyguard.

After our rival gives up the throne as my dying wish, my men trust him to keep a close watch on me and protect me from any danger that may come my way.

He keeps me safe, somehow understanding the darkness that lurks inside of me. He knows it cannot be caged, and he allows me the ability to set it free when we’re alone.

The things I’ve done don’t hold a candle to the things I will do.

I have everything I could possibly want…three sexy, attentive, mafia boyfriends. All of us are under one roof, and they spoil and provide for my every desire.

But why do I have a nagging feeling that something—or someone—is still missing from my life?

Am I selfish for being insatiable when I already have more than most?

When our true enemies, the ones we thought we eliminated, come back to finish what they started, I worry I may not be able to escape death this time around.

I end up sharing a secret with the one man I shouldn’t let in—a secret that holds the power to ruin us all.

I may have crossed a line, but whether my men like it or not, this vixen is entering her villain era.

Villain Era is the sequel to Untamed Vixen. Untamed Vixen should be read first. Meant for mature audiences.

You must read book one to fully enjoy the story. The story picks up with June, our plucky, kicka$$ heroine, about six months after the dramatic events of book one. To say that her life has undergone an adjustment period is an understatement. June is attempting to settle into a protective life with her three men, all heads of a mafia organization, while maintaining some independence for herself. She loves them dearly but something is off and it’s upsetting the balance in their relationship and in herself. Dominic, the stoic head of the organization, Coen, the hotheaded second-chance friend, and Magnus, the golden retriever, occasional psycho, are all mad about June. They love her fiercely and would do anything to protect her. They struggle with how much to let her into their world without putting her in danger. Will keeping secrets put them all at risk? Then there’s Simon. A once fierce rival, turned trusted bodyguard, who loves June with devotion. He’s willing to sacrifice anything to be with her. But at what cost? Power dynamics and action explode in this mafia thriller. The heat level is intense. The tension in this household is not just from the secrets, the smexy chemistry is huge, and written beautifully. Read the trigger warnings. This is a dark, mafia, WhyChoose, romance with characters who tip the scales closer to the black end of morally gray. I’m totally here for it. This was an epic return to the series (one of my personal favorites) and I couldn’t be happier. #bookreview #lunapierce #villainera #sinnersandangelsduet #mafiaromance #mafiaromanceseries #bookreviewer #arcreader #spicybooktok #spicybookstagram #smuttok #romancetok #spicyreads #smuttybooks #spicysmut #booktok #bookstagram #romancereads #bookboyfriends

Okay so I understand that they would want to protect her from the lifestyle. I get it but did it have to be almost the whole book of them keeping it away from her? It should have happened at 50%. She took to much of their bs for her to finally have enough. I would have liked to see her more in action then just her dealing with the actual villain and her counting numbers at the end.
Now for the boys I loved Simon and how they got together. Loved Maggie and I think him and Simon should have both been each others boyfriend. You don’t really see Dom and when you do it’s just about protecting her for the lifestyle. Co was getting annoying to me and the history they had goodness we get it they have history. It shouldn’t have been repeated the amount of times that it was. The amount of times he kept saying he wasn’t right for her I was starting to believe it. Like you’re right your not either fight for what you want or not god it was driving me nuts.
Overall I liked some parts of the story I wish she just would have been more of a villain since that’s the title. Some love lines did feel flat for me but others were good. And the last 90% of all the love and apologizing was nice to see. I just wanted to see it sooner.

Well, Luna, if you wanted to make us fall for the Damon lookalike… you succeeded. I mean, who wouldn’t. It’s Damon!!

So, it would seem there is more to Simon Beckett than we originally thought from Untamed Vixen. This man pays attention. He seems to be the only one that really sees June and what she’s going through with her men. She’s stressed. She isn’t eating. She’s losing weight. As her bodyguard he takes the initiative to see to her needs. He’s the friend she needs even when she doesn’t realize it. He makes sure she’s taking care of herself while trying to keep her safe from things that even he doesn’t know about.

So, there are secrets. The men in June’s life think that keeping those secrets from her are going to keep her safe while they work in the background to find and defeat whoever wants to cause her harm. But is that the right decision? Everyone will find out, one way or another, that June is a lot stronger than they give her credit for.

I loved Untamed Vixen. I fell in love with Dom, Magnus, and Co in that book. I thought I would hate Simon by the time I was finished with it. But, like everyone else, I needed to know more about him. Villain Era fulfilled that desire. Simon was everything I had hoped he would be.

First of all loved it and now Simon may be my new favorite of her men
I laughed I was mad the one quote that is stuck in my head is when magnus says “Then me and June and Simon are running away together. Not a f second more.”
Even thought his suppose to be his enemy his willing to put that a aside as long as he with her he don’t care
So I would Simon and magnus are my favorite the other two I can you know

I read untamed vixen a while back before stumbling upon Cora’s story, not even realizing they were in the same universe! I then read Claire and Johnnys story before this one. I’m in love with all of these characters and books, so sad that I’m almost done reading them all!! Definitely recommend!

I need to know if Dom steps down, I need to know what happens next. I need a book where all 5 of them, plus johnny, claire and cora are all apart of this world. Oh, and I need me a magnus.

These 4 stars are all for Simon.
I guess Dom, Magnus and Coen didn't learn their lesson the first time. It's like a repeat of book one, except here June doesn't sit and wait. Or she does. For six months.
It was very similar from book #1, June being in denial about Simon until suddenly, she's not. It was the same in book #1 when she was in denial about the guys, claiming she was guarding her heart until suddenly, she's not anymore and she's in love with three men.
Simon truly saved the day. I was devouring his POVs. I wanted more, I was greedy, I was swooning. Obviously, he was my favorite by far.
