Noah volunteers and flies from Atlanta to Connecticut. While exploring the woods on their property he discovers a woman in trouble. What happens next sets the twins on a whirlwind adventure they never expected. Criminals are after the twins and the malnourished woman they rescued. Could this have something to do with her or the artifact Sydney discovers? The more Syd and Noah investigate, the deeper the rabbit hole they're plunged into. Can they stay one step ahead of the gang of criminals after them before it's too late?

    Book five in this series does not disappoint for one page...not even one. An inheritance sets this novel into action and the reader will be taken on a trip from Atlanta to Connecticut with the twins....Noah and Sydney, contributing in their areas of expertise... Noah has the medical background and Sydney has the PI one... Amazing what they both are capable of digging up...

    There is a confused elderly woman that Noah encounters and the reader does indeed wonder who she is and what is wrong with her.

    There is also a Celtic amulet that enters into the mystery...My goodness, lots of mysteries in this high tech, extremely fast paced and suspenseful story.

    This author knows the craft of writing extremely well and manages to keep the reader buckled in for her ride. The action intensifies, the suspenseful nature does as well... She tosses in a lot of twists and turns in to keep all of us on the edge of our seats.

    Follow the clues ....and the mystery intensifies....along comes murder and lots of mayhem tossed in for that extra added part of the novel.

    Extremely well written and enjoyed this one immensely. Will read on to the next one in this series. So glad that I have this author on 'follow' so I won't miss it.

    Most highly recommended and for multiple reasons.

    This is the fifth book in the High-Tech Crime Solvers Series and, like the others so far, keeps the tension and the pace at maximum. In this story, a doctor and his sister, a private investigator, endeavor to find the identity of an amnesiac woman found wandering on their newly inherited property. Uncovering her past proves quite difficult but the pair of siblings are determined to succeed. During their investigative journey they become the targets of some ruthless individuals willing to kill anyone who comes between them and their goal. The story is captivating from start to finish and the characters are likeable and genuine. Along with the high-tech aspects of this series, there is also a sharing of characters that I find interesting. The main character(s) from one story often show up in a more peripheral role in another story and this character crossover provides a unifying thread to the series that I enjoy. The possibilities are infinite with their combined acumen and skill sets. You just know there will be other stories in which you may see the main character(s) but the mystery is satisfactorily resolved. Like the previous books in the series, this one has a well-crafted mystery and it is resolved at the end but this book does have a cliffhanger in that one of the main characters is put in a situation that requires you to begin a spinoff series from the author to find out what their fate will be. I did not care for the cliffhanger aspect but, otherwise, I did thoroughly enjoy this story and will continue to follow the High-Tech Crime Solvers series.

    For those choosing to listen to the audio version of this story, I want to mention that Rich Miller did a wonderful job with the narration. He really brought the story and the different characters to life.

    While I did purchase a copy of this book, I was provided with a copy of the audiobook and I am voluntarily offering my honest and unbiased review.

    I’m a big fan of Casi McLean’s and her dynamic story Virtually Timeless: A Chilling High-Tech Thriller (High-Tech Crime Solvers Book 5) hits a reader hard on every page with precisely timed action and incredible characters.

    Although this crime thriller is part of a multi-authored series (High Tech Crime Solvers) I had no trouble accepting or understanding the other characters’ entrances during the story, as they enhanced the intense action scenes penned by the talented Ms. McLean. Although complex at times, realization shines through the story, which is a difficult accomplishment for any author.

    And I love the mystery/suspense element driving the force of this novel ahead. As in where the heck did that amulet in Noah’s coat pocket come from anyway?

    Also loved the closeness/comradery of Noah and Syd Monaco, the twins, a totally relatable duo since my mom was a twin, and I adored she and my aunt’s antics and protection of one another. Not that they ever had thugs after them, like Syd and Noah but still. Being said, after what these characters have been through – *sigh* much as I’d like to divulge more, I’ll leave future readers to discover those challenges for themselves – combining their resources through mysterious illness and strife.

    In case you were wondering exactly what constitutes a High Tech Thriller, grab yourself a copy of Virtually Timeless – this is the embodiment of that genre. Bravo, Ms. McLean – five golden stars for a thrilling read on steroids!

    ‘Virtually Timeless’ by Casi McLean is an unusual book. And that’s a good thing! For an author to embark upon a crossover set (the ‘High-Tech Crime Solvers Books) each written by different authors yet featuring the active participation of characters from the other writer’s novels is a daunting challenge. First, you need a good story and author McLean treats us to an outstanding tale here. Then you need to incorporate some of the characters from the other series authors, but in such a way that their presence not only contributes to moving the story forward in a coherent fashion, i.e. they aren’t cameo walk-ons, and that their involvement seems to be a natural evolution of the tale. That is no small feat, yet here we are in the hands of a master storyteller and McLean tackles the experiment like the pro she is.

    Her protagonists, twins Noah and Sydney Monaco, find themselves thrust into a dark tale of deadly avarice and revenge, combined with not one, but two medical mysteries for Noah to solve, and all of this with the breakneck pacing readers have come to associate with author McLean’s novels.
