Wholly matrimony was Charlene’s first novel that I fortunately got to read. It has the intriguing characterization of Jiya and Aiden , both fiery , assertive and lovely people. They love each other but also have an inner desire of whole acceptance by each other. I think every relation is exactly like theirs. Each of us would like our partner to love us totally and fully. This love should come within our inner being. Everyone will relate to this story. Having an Indian heroine adds to the culture aspect of it. Parent's respect , brothers love .. friendships so much add to this story. I like the way every character is interwoven to create this cocoon for Jia to blossom. Just completed reading it! I must say this is her first novel I have read and I found that I kept turning the pages to get to the end. It has sizzling moments and frustrating ones too, I did find Jia too stubborn at times and Aiden just pampering her. Some scenes are stretched out which could have been curtailed. But again we want our partners to pamper us which Aiden fulfills in an endearing manner. I will say this is a very good read and one would like to re-read this one. This copy was provided to me for review by the author.

    Jiya and Aiden met, fell in and we're married all within a few weeks. They were happy and in love. A visit to her parents home broke them apart. Aiden left to prove to her father that he could provide for Jiya without his help. Jiya felt Aiden deserted her and tried to move on with her life. Most of the story takes place three years later. Aiden returns, Jiya wants to marry another man - who her father approves - but she needs Aiden to sign the divorce papers.

    Will that initial connection between the two return? Can Aiden profess his love for Jiya and can she accept he loves her? Does she still love him too and can she forgive his leaving? All of these questions and more are answered in Wholly Matrimony.

    This story is well written, the characters are developed and are all very necessary to the story. It is intense, emotional and funny. Wholly Matrimony is my introduction to Charlene Namdhari's work and I am impressed. I will be reading more of her work!

    I was looking forward to this one, because I love second chance romances and I’ve enjoyed books from this author before. There was a lot of intense chemistry and Ms Namdhari writes them hot. One of my issues with it is that it was a love-triangle, and it there’s a sniff of cheating or more, I’m out. Well, I was almost out, because it takes a lot for me to not finish a book.

    It didn’t matter how hot, sexy and alpha Aiden Grayson might have been, or that he was pretty much a unicorn book boyfriend, or that he was doing his level best to win his wife back, our heroine really let the book down.

    Jiya did not recommend herself to me at all. She was selfish, and only worried about her own feelings and reactions. In spite of what family said to her, and even the about face of a pivotal character, she wasn’t going to give an inch. Her family lovingly referred to her as stubborn but she came across to me as prideful. It is said that pride comes before a fall, well, she was about to take a huge swan dive off a cliff. I have never been so disappointed in a heroine before.

    But if, love triangles don’t phase you, and you love second chances, and you do love Charlene Namdhari’s books, then you’ll likely enjoy it, but for me this time, it’s a 3.5 star read.

    Tried to skim through most of it. Redundant, and the female was very unlikeable. The male clueless in how to handle her. I love most of Ms. Namdhari’s books, so this one was a disappointment.

    An enjoyable story that was hard to put down. I liked the premise which gave me a sense of intrigue regarding their relationship. I was disappointed by both lead characters. His for leaving and letting things ho for so ling. Her because she didn’t fight hard enough in the beginning. I wasn’t sure if I wanted them together.

    When Jiya decided to vacation in Vegas the last thing she expected was to return home with a husband. Her conservative family was not happy with her choice and when the tensions rose Jiya chose her loyalty to her family over her love for Aiden.

    Three years later Jiya is ready to remarry but before that can happen she must finalize her divorce with Aiden. The chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever and she is about to find out that she is the only one who wants their marriage to end.

    This is a story of two people who allowed pride to destroy the best thing that ever happened to them but with a little maturity they may just realize what is truly important in life.

    I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. It had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know how it would all end. At one point I even wanted to look at the last few pages to find out 🙈 but I held out and I'm glad I did. It was a well written book that I could read over and over. I've only just discovered this author but have already download another one of her books 🥰

    This book is all about two cultures coming together, I absolutely enjoy all the work by this author. It's simply amazing.
    We meet Brian in this book, the follow up book is all about him.
    There were times Jiya annoyed me with her thoughts, I looked passed them and enjoyed the book for what it delivered.
