I’ve been too busy to keep up with most pop culture things the last few years. Between keeping the last shreds of my family together and trying to pay my bills, sleep and work have been the only constants. I should have known Hudson Meadows wasn’t some nobody off the street, but I didn’t.

    Working at a bar located in Las Vegas helps Felicity to pay her own bills plus assist her parents, too. One morning after a late-night shift, she wakes up confused about her location and even more stunned to discover the man in the room with her appears to now be her husband. It turns out Hudson Meadows is a rock singer who is becoming well-known and has recently released an album. Though Felicity had never heard of him, she soon learns some important facts related to her new husband who seems especially nice. But she thinks they should not stay married, and figures he will feel the same way. Yet Felicity is in for a big shock when she hears what Hudson has to say about the matter.

    There are lots of compelling moments in this installment of the After I Do series, where situations that arise are packed with emotion while the main couple are truly fascinating. Hudson is well on his way to becoming a singing sensation, yet he feels as though he wants more out of life. When an evening out by himself leads to him becoming a wedded man, he is actually happy and wants to make the impulsive event work out. But Felicity is wary of things going smoothly since so little is known about the other. As I watched this couple work through all the issues that cropped up after they wed, I saw some real-life circumstances taking place despite the romance being an insta-love story. I definitely enjoyed seeing how Felicity and Hudson would respond to the many problems that they had to face, and I also really liked how Ember Davis had these two facing so many concerns which could bring them together or end up pushing them apart. WHEN WE WOKE UP is enjoyably engaging with lots of insightful details. Rating – 4.5 Stars

    I love how this author brings her characters to life and this newest release which is part of the After I Do series is another wonderful story. When Felicity finds herself married to Hudson in Vegas she does everything to fix the mistake, but Hudson has another thing in mind. From the first sight he knew she was the one for him, but it will take everything to convince her of that along with his Banks family. I enjoyed this swoon worthy romance read with a fun storyline with delightful heat level and a HEA.
