During Daryl Banner's time in college, he wrote, composed, and produced a musical under Tony Award-winning musical and Theatre producer Stuart Ostrow, as well as two original plays produced under the mentorship of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lanford Wilson, who also mentored Daryl through the writing of his very first novel. In addition to new adult and M/M romance, Daryl also writes post-apocalyptic fantasy as well as dystopian.

    We continue to follow the friendship of Caysen, Wade, Dean and Garrett as they work toward finding their true places on life.

    Very well written, and relatable. I mean who didn't have that friend who would willingly get into various tricky situations with you.

    I love how these friends have such a tight bond that they can fight one minute and yet appreciate each other in the next.

    The tension starts to get high as relationships are tested. I found myself catching my breath wondering where these situations were going to take our main characters next.

    A definite page turner that I can't wait to see what happens next.

    I am so excited for the next book. I love all of them, but Dean is my favorite and I can't wait to see what happens with him in book 3.

    PURCHASED: Aug 2019 - Book Bonanza Signing Dallas TX

    This 4-story series should absolutely be read in order. Although a little longer than a traditional novella, I would consider all 4 books to be novellas which put together create a full book featuring an amazing group of friends, their adventures, the entanglements of life, and general life. I read all 4 paperbacks in 3 days. These stories are also in KU.

    There are characters that I like more than others, some I could do without entirely, and some I want to know more about - should have a longer book actually.

    I like this author's writing style and own his whole backlist prior to July 2019 (I have to work on getting the most recent stories onto his shelf).

    I recommend this story, this series, and 100% this author.

    I get excited with every new release from Daryl Banner, and each book I read just reinforces him as one of my favourite authors. Wade's Workout was no different.
    Wade's Workout, the second in the Boys and Toys Series by Daryl Banner, continues the journey with four friends Caysen, Wade, Dean and Garret. Told from each friends point of view, this book dives further into the relationship between Wade and Cayson, and Dean and Garret, and further elaborates on Garret's fettishes.
    It is hard to review Daryl's books and tell you what it is I love about them without giving spoilers. So I will just say this book is fun, witty, emotional and funny. It had me laughing out loud a few times, and feeling the emotion of the friends as they navigate their way through life.
    And Daryl leaves us with a 'To be continued' but I need more NOW
    This novella is a nice quick read, and I couldn't put it down. I cant wait for Dean's Dare. Four books in this series are not going to be enough. I already know I will need more of these boys.
