So, first of all, I have to say that I am a big fan of Toby Wise's Stray series, so I was automatically excited when I saw this book! Secondly, I'm kind of a big geek fan of cam artists - particularly in the sex industry - and so this book ticked off a lot of boxes for me. The result was even better than I expected. Toby tackles a subject that is often a source of controversy and he does so in an amazingly open and beautiful manner. Harrison is a beta cam boy that makes videos for online posting and also for private customers. I love how completely at ease he is with, not only his body, but with his own desires, love of exploration and in general, his acceptance of sex as a fun activity, that shouldn't be mired in judgment or condescension. He's literally a free spirit of happiness and sunshine. Derek, his Alpha roommate, is a little more reserved - not because he feels that there is anything wrong with sex or what a person desires - but more because he has this flawed image of what "he", as an Alpha, should feel. When Harrison accidentally sends a sex tape to Derek it opens them both up to admitting their mutal crushes on each other and also to the two of them expanding their own individual views on sex workers in general. I absolutely loved how much thought and open discussion goes into them navigating their new relationship and, even when misunderstandings arise, how neither jumps into overly dramatic behavior - instead, taking the time to talk things out first. They are truly a perfect match and I'm so hoping to see more of them in future books. There is a small cast of background characters, that will probably feature strongly in future books, but the tastes we get are more than enough to give them substance and to make the reader want to learn more. While this was a quick read, it was completely charming and fun - a feel good story - and I'm super excited to see what happens in the next book. I totally recommend this - not just for how enjoyable it is, but also for the positive look at the online sex industry and the people that choose to do that.
