When Morning Comes: A Surprise Pregnancy Standalone Kindle Edition
Kiersten won’t make excuses for living her very best life. But being the life of the party has its downsides—like waking up naked next to her best friend.
Ever since Nathan’s wife died a few years ago, he’s avoided commitment. He went from living the family life to a one-and-done mentality. Until Kiersten breaks the news.
She’s pregnant with his baby.
She shoves him back in the friend zone. But there’s no return to normal when he’s already falling in love with her.
Convincing her that his affection runs deeper than their new reality isn’t an easy feat. Not when her lips are his addiction, and her touch is a brand. He’s determined to become more than friends.
Kiersten wants to play it safe, but Nathan is ready for risks. The problem is relationships can go south fast.
And they might learn the truth about what’s worse than getting knocked up by your best friend.
Losing them forever.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2020Nathan's and Kiersten's story was so heartfelt and beautiful that I got lost in the months of her pregnancy and Nathan's journey of healing. These two were so cute together and Kiersten's personality was so funny and cute.
Ms Wilson did a spectacular job of developing these friends to lovers to parents!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2022When a one-night stand with her best friend Nathan results in an unplanned pregnancy, Kiersten is forced to face her growing feelings. Her insecurities and stubbornness lead her to make decisions that might end her friendship and extinguish any chance of a relationship with Nathan forever. Will she make the right choice?
Nathan lost his wife two years ago, and he doesn’t know if he’ll ever find that kind of love again, or if he even wants to, struggling with his grief, he can help but feel stuck, between the woman he loved, and the woman he’s quickly finding he can’t resist, can he find it in his heart to admit how he feels?
This read was amazing! I binge-read the whole thing in one night! Spicy scenes, a plot that had me swooning, and a love story for the ages.
These characters pop right off the page. I want to hug them, then throttle them, then wrap them in a blanket so no one can hurt them. I can’t wait to binge another one of her books!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2024One I really appreciate no real owd or cheating. However, the premise was ridiculous. The FMC just kept going in circles and holding herself back over stupid reasons. The dialog was redundant. And the getting an O from a pelvic exam was awful. But it was overall low angst but not necessarily a pleasant read.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2023This story is about how best friends can fall in love with each other even when the circumstances aren’t what they want at first. There are a lot of things they both have going but in the end they ended up so happy together. Wonderful story about overcoming certain obstacles.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2020Loved the characters! Kiersten cracked me up. I actually expected her to struggle more when she found out she was pregnant but then again she surprised me. Nathan is such a sweetheart! I like how he stepped up to be there for Kiersten. The one thing that kind of irritated me was the beginning of them swearing but then getting a sensored version of it.
A. M. Wilson did an amazing job building the characters personalities and their world. I loved the characters and their humor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good story
I enjoyed this book very much. It had romance, an independent women and a man who was reluctant to try again at romance. I liked it so much I bought the first book and also as a back story to this book

5.0 out of 5 stars When Morning Comes
Having enjoyed several books by this author, I searched my TBR pile and found this gem.
I love a secret baby story and this one was special because the two have been friends and colleagues for a few years.
Paramedic, Nathan has suffered the worst loss a man can have: the love of his life, his wife. As far as he's concerned, that's it as far as love is concerned. He does acknowledge his own physical needs, but love is out.
Dispatcher, Kiersten is a close friend and forms one side of a friendship triangle along with her bestie, Cami, who also works with Nathan.
Now that Cami has married, Kiersten and Nathan spend more time together. It's an evening full of tequila shots that finds the two of them in more intimate circumstances.
The shock comes when Keirsten discovers she is pregnant.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for me
DNF. Would’ve like a little lading up to first rather than waking up the morning after in the first page. Started the second chapter and no flash back. Disappointed. I liked the writing.
