    This newest addition to the multi author Criminal Desires series, gives its readers a dark and delicious romance read that doesn’t disappoint. I love this new dark side of writing from the author, the characters she brings to life is still intense with the extra yumminess that she is know for. Jericho brings out the delicious heat level that Briar doesn’t know she was craving until she brought him out of the darkness. I love how they connect, she is the light to his darkness and together they work. This is a definite must read for readers of dark romance read.

    Love this story. Jericho and Briar are fantastic together. Jericho is a very possessive male and has been watching and stalking Briar for 8 months. Briar can feel someone watching her but has never seen them. He finally comes into the light when another man make a move on Briar. These two are perfect for each other as he's dark to her light. She feels safe with Jericho. Love the story and the characters. This is the first book I've read in the Criminal desires and I can't wait to read more from this series.

    When a person has an issue with someone, Jericho is an individual who can efficiently take care of the problem for a price. Though he can make those who hire him happy, he never lets his own feelings be influenced. But recently, there is a single aspect of his life which does greatly impact him, and it started once he saw a woman named Briar one day. Though Jericho does not plan to ever let her know about him or what he is involved in, he continues to covertly keep tabs on her to ensure she remains safe. But his obsession with Briar results in unexpected entanglements neither saw coming.

    There is so much intensity in this installation in the Criminal Desires series, and regardless of whether it pertains to personal actions or how someone feels, Ember Davis made the moment profoundly affecting. The way in which this author describes every scene in the book also had me experiencing the situation right along with her characters. The emotions demonstrated by Jericho are frequently forceful, and wanting to see how Briar would respond left me riveted while reading to discover her reaction. Any time passion is the main sentiment being depicted, the heat level between this couple is always sky-high. The powerful words used by Ember Davis to portray what was happening in WHERE ROSES LAY definitely kept me enthralled at all times.

    I read this thru KU and I will NOT be buying it BUT I will read the other books of the supporting characters. When I first started the 📕 I really liked it. I loved that he had rules about no women and children, his stalking and OTT. I like my dark stories like that😈I am ok with some name calling but he used slut way too much for my tastes. This isn’t an overly dark book but the kind of darkness I prefer. Which is why I hate that I am giving it 3⭐️ I was really disappointed with their 1st time. There was 0 foreplay, zilch. Though I guess their foreplay was supposed to be their supposed dirty talking. I really was let down with that. I was hoping that the end would make the story a solid 4⭐️✨ but alas it didn’t. I was really wanting him to take off her clothes and worshiping her but nope, he tells her to “strip” and for her to take off his clothes. I was on the fence with this book about buying it but the ending solidified my decision. Now I am still going to check out the other 2 books the author says at the end concerning Constantine and the brother. Like I said I was really liking the beginning of the story. The 1st sex scene was ok but would have been scorching with some 👅foreplay😜😛😝 and if the ending could have him doing some worshiping or being really sweet with her. I believe most people who are ok with some darkness will like this book. I am just not one of them.

    Okay, I am officially in love with darker side of this author! Jericho is an assassin, he lurks in the shadows. He was content with his life until he caught a glimpse of Briar. That was eight months ago and he is still stalking her. When she goes out for a girl's night, there is no way he can keep his cool. Briar knows her shadow man has been watching her and she is ready for him to come into the light. This was so hot, it was HAWT, I couldn't put it down.
