Who Let a Demon Lord into the Mage Tower? Volume 1: A Fantasy Light Novel Kindle Edition
I never got used to my father’s oppressive rule in the Underworld. That’s why I decided to escape my fate as the future Demon Lord and reincarnate into the realm of Ria.
My plan? As Luc Vale, the mortal mage, I’ll live out a real life and become an adventurer.
But first, I must master this world’s new magic at the Tower Guild Academy. After forming a party with a gorgeous and clumsy woman, I learned that being human is nothing like I imagined.
Not only is my new smelly body weaker than I’m used to, I’ve also discovered the… distractions of carnal pleasure. All is going according to plan until a danger emerges that threatens all of Ria. I should be strong enough to vanquish the Tower’s dark secret.
As long as no one discovers who I truly am. ~If you like light-hearted romance, quirky humor, and a dash of adventure, this story is for you.
Great for anime weebs who enjoy shows like How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord.
(Contains unconventional relationships and adult situations.)

About the author

Atlas Kane is a retired Dragon Rider with recurring pain in his L4/L5 joints. Carrying a zweihander while fighting in the king’s war took a toll on his constitution, so he turned to the less glamorous occupation of Court Scribe. He now lives with his wives and a platoon of kids, recalling old battles and bygone glory. - Follow my FB page at: @atlasharem

I enjoyed the characters and the magic system.
I recommend checking it out.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2021I recently devoured the towers of acalia series and decided to check out his other works. Man does he like towers. I digress. A quick witted, sexy, and fun romp through a fantasy world where magic and death defying action are the main course. I enjoyed the day it took me to read as well as the face this author has a wide array of next reads. Amazing tale Kane
- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2023Fist off love the book, the author dose a magnificent job of crafting the world around the characters and makes me feel like I’m living in the action right along side them. Secondly I personally felt like the characters were well written nicely flushed out and given their own unique personalities and characteristics. Though at times I did feel like a few things felt rushed?? Overall it has been a book I have throughly enjoyed and have read more then once in the course of a few days. I am looking forward to reading more of the world the author has been crafting.
As a side not this story dose have some interesting steamy parts however I thought they were handled quite well as they flowed into the main storyline. Still these types of books are definitely not for everyone so please keep that in mind. My only regret is that I can’t support the author directly and get a singed copy.
Also check out the Grimoire thief if you are interested in this author’s work
- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2021This story was very enjoyable for me. The main character used to be a demon Lord but wanted his freedom so he left the demon realm. And in doing so he became human, well sort of, mostly? He is not totally familiar with the human condition and makes a few false assumptions here and there but that is part of the fun. He becomes an adventurer enjoys the mage Tower where it's kind of like a dungeon that has multiple floors. He meets two people who join his party and learn in school along with him to become adventures. The main character has snarky humor and for me it was very hilarious at times. He knows how the bad guys think and uses that knowledge against them. And surprisingly he has a soft spot in his heart that he didn't know he had and had no idea what the softer emotions are since he did not have them in the demon world. I had an enjoyable and entertaining time reading about his antics and those are supporting characters around him. I really like their different personalities and the way they are developing and the way this book ends is satisfactory and also leaves a lot more story to go. I for one can't wait for the next book to come out it was a very enjoyable for me and I enjoyed reading how a demon Lord turned humanish comes to understand The human condition.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2021Quirky, funny and exciting. A great refreshing change of pace. Mc isn't slow to pick up new concepts. While he is behind and still has to learn a new magic system he does it in a way that makes you want to cheer him on during the whole process just so you can find out how he will do things. The romantic relationships doesn't over power the book that makes it annoying. The gradual build up and funny interactions had me laughing at the main love interest overall great story looking forward to part 2 highly recommend it
- Reviewed in the United States on February 1, 2022Despite some assumptions about the main character's origin, they are well developed and a joy to grow with. The story is well laid and the relationships very real.

Luc Vale is THE Demon Prince, eldest son of the ruler of a demon plane known as the Underworld; he's bored, and he wants to do things on his own for a while -- experience life on his own away from his father's micromanagement and enjoy what it is like to be mortal. More, he wants to learn how to master another type of magic, join an adventurer group, and have some fun.
This was a bit slower than expected in drawing me into the story, but once it drew me in, it continued to pick up speed all the way through to the end. There's more to Ria, the human and demi-human world, at first glance, and more to the Underworld, too. Luc's reactions help make this an engaging novel. The sex is sparse and implied more than graphic; the characters engaging and fun. Want book 2 soon! Recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2021Wow, this was a fun and enjoyable book. I loved how the son of the Demon Lord in this book decided to become the hero in this story. The story’s plot was well-coordinated and the characters were easy to fall in love with! 😁
Loved the magic system to the story too! Wasn’t too complex and it was quite easy to understand.
Luc, The Demon Prince, was an interesting main character. I like how observant and “quick-to-act” he was. The demi-girls were a extra bonus to the story as well. I loved how they each had their own unique personalities! Overall, this was a fun read! Definitely will be buying Volume #2 when it comes out. Atlas Kane, thank you for this amazing story. Please keep up the awesome work! 😁👏
NOTE: This book contains curse words and one intimate sex scene. I STRONGLY agree with the fact that this book in not meant for the eyes of children. Most certainly meant for MATURE ADULTS ONLY (18+).

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun read
I enjoyed the romance and character development. Believeable struggles for a overpowered main character was the highlight of the novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good fun and very good reading.
Another new series by Atlas Kane and what a fun one it is. Luc, Clove and Jam are three great new characters and hopefully there is lots more fun lo be had. As usual with an Atlas Kane book, it is superbly well written, the action is great, the interaction between characters is well done and Luv the Prince of the underworld having to try to understand human emotion and actions is a wonderful premise that could have a good way to run. A very for fans of Brandon Varnell.

5.0 out of 5 stars A short but very fun read (with a touch of sex)
This feels like a Japanese isekai story, but the MC is not from Earth but from a Demon realm connected to the planet he is now on. A fairly typical fish out of water but being the immortal Demon Prince now turned mortal human he needs to learn new powers and forge his own future while hiding from his father. This is not really a spoiler as you get this information in the first two chapters, but the rest of the story is for you to read. Good luck.

I like this book. It's not written too fast or too slow. It's nothing new, but still a nice reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars very entertaining
Humorous, exciting, lots of action, romance and a hint of badassery! However the M/c comes with some familial baggage, giving a sense of mystery to the plot. Overall a fun read 7/10
