    Dev has decided that his neighbor Lady Emilia is the perfect bride for him to gain respectability. She doesn't like him and won't let him court her. What's a guy to do? Buy up her ailing father's vowels and blackmail into marriage.

    Emilia can't find a way out and is extremely angry with Dev. But she finds that she likes his sisters a little more each time she is around them. She begrudgingly admits that she lives Dev a little more every day, too.

    What's a girl to do? Give into blackmail and maybe find happiness? Or live her life as a broke spinster? Ms. Scott certainly writes a beautiful story of loss and newfound love. Dev and Emilia are perfect for each other. There are a number of sexy, steamy scenes in this book. I loved it.
