When things go south, Macy agrees to temporarily let Logan help. Now, if he could just get the man to realize he cannot be bossed around, they just might make this work.

Can the fact that Logan tries to treat Macy like a piece of porcelain glass be a problem?

    I love Reese Knightly's three intertwined series. All of her main characters are strong and fun and, in my opinion, well written. The first book in this particular series about Cobalt Security, was terrific. I've been waiting for Logan's story and was surprised it took so long, but I felt it was worth the wait. Logan is such a great character. Someone who gave his all for his family and friends but seemed to forget about himself. I would have liked for him to find someone a little better for him than Macy, but Macy wasn't bad, he just had a bit of "small man syndrome" that colored his interactions with others. I suspect he had a bit of lack of confidence despite his occupation. Ultimately, of course, Logan and Macy came to a proper understanding and the ending chase and confrontation with the bad guy were exciting and well done. I did really dislike the way two of the characters in this book died though, especially the second. This author has a bad habit, in my opinion, of killing off likable characters in most of her books. Otherwise, four solid stars. I'm now waiting for Gunnar's and Jaxon's story.

    Ugh.. this was so hard to get through. I feel like the MCs never worked things out or talked about their issues. It went from them struggling to all better.

    I also struggled with the writing. Found myself having tore read paragraphs to decider what was happening.

    I’m just frustrated with this book and it has really turned me off of the rest of this series.

    There is a lot to like about this story. First, the huge cast of characters is listed at the beginning - gracias! Secondly, it is a classic case of opposites attracting. Huge, masculine Logan Cobalt, and tall, but much lighter FBI agent Macy. The latter is interesting for his strong and complex character, balanced by his love of makeup, clothes and jewellery. That challenges us as to any preconceived notions of stereotypical male behaviour, which is always good. The plot line of gangsters hunting down Macy takes a backseat to the romance, but there is enough action to keep us turning the pages. Love the bull mastiff Echo, who is both lazy and competent when required to be on deck.
